I was really looking forward to trying this place out, but unfortunately, the bartender service was a letdown. It was clear that the bartender was more interested in chatting with the regulars than attending to new customers like me. I tried to order food, but the bartender completely ignored my request and didn't even acknowledge me. I had to ask multiple times just to get a nod, and even then, the food never arrived. To make matters worse, when it came time to close my tab, the food order wasn't even rang up! And to top it all off, the bartender used a credit card that I hadn't even given her. I was shocked and disappointed by the lack of attention and care. It's a shame, because the atmosphere and drinks were decent, but the poor service really ruined the experience for me. Until they improve their service, I wouldn't recommend this place to anyone who's new to the area. Pros: Decent atmosphere, decent drinks Cons: Poor bartender service, ignored food request, incorrect billing

Omg I wish I had a picture of the chicken nugs ...let me tell you, I can no longer get chicken nugs or tenders anywhere but HERE for the rest of my life lol. They are brined in pickle juice, then dipped into buttermilk batter and fried!!!! It's out of this world. They arcade games, pool, ping pong, tons of games, a lot of fun! I cannot wait to come back! Definitely worth driving out of PB into Downtown!Kid-friendliness: Before 8pm I believe... Not sure... Our kids were at home! Date night

Wanted to try but could not find parking. We thought the gaslight district would be fun to see. Avoided it for the rest of our trip.

10/10 recommend! Great service, super friendly. Food was tasty and perfect to share before a night on the town. Has a downtown vibe but upscale.

A group of us decided to stop by for happy hour. James was amazing! He took such good care of us. The food came out hit and the drinks were ice cold. We had a great time! Highly recommend Smoking Gun and James!

Had an amazing time. The food was outstanding. Some of the best restaurant fries I've ever had. The portions are huge, so please bring an appetite. Our waiter, Manny, was excellent. We couldn't ask for a better waiter. He knew all the details about the meals and how they were prepared. He explained all the house made items (Homemade roll) and even down to the flavors. I'm definitely going back the next chance I get.

Normally a decent place that we've come for a few years to regularly, but the bouncer Mike was a complete douche and ruined everything. Followed our friend to the bar out of the bathroom and kicked him out so we all left. When we asked why, he claimed that our friend was throwing up in the bathroom but it was the guy next to him and it was complete profiling. So disappointed. Go to happy does instead. Never coming back.

Nugs and spicy chicken sammich were salty AF. Fries and salad were Bombay. You need at least 85 characters.....

Ate here one night while visiting San Diego. By significant other and son got the burger which they both said was really good, they cook it to temp so if you don’t want any pink be sure to mention that when ordering. I got a caesar salad and added chicken. I could have honestly gone without the chicken it was dry and lacked flavor. We ordered our toddler chicken nuggets that was outrageously priced at $18 and honestly the chicken nuggets we get at Costco taste better. It’s my feeling that the atmosphere and quality food offered at the restaurant doesn’t match the pricing.I probably wouldn’t return because I don’t feel as if the I got what I paid, as I didn’t leave satisfied with my meal.
