The food was very good. Freshly made. Nice selection and reasonable prices. I was visiting San Diego from San Antonio. Mexican food here is very different, but I loved Tony's so much I ate there twice in 2 days. The location I visited, Rosecrans, was small with standard furnishings. It was not a fancy place, but it was clean, comfortable and it is what I am used to when eating at the very best Mexican food restaurants in San Antonio. I would definitely visit Tony's again should I find myself in San Diego. The churros were hot and so very good. I had the Quesabirria and it was just amazing! Thank you, Tony's Fresh Mexican Food.

Terrible, 3 years ago it was occasionally tasty albeit overpriced. Today feb 2024 I had the worst carne asada burrito at $10. Tiny. Tough meat , half cold. Place was empty at lunchtime ( I wonder why ). Never again.

Just about every San Diego taco shop is going to have great carnitas, carne asada, and rolled tacos, but the meal that is unique and makes Tony's stand out is Tony's Special Plate. It is a mix of shrimp and carne asada that is perfection and would easily cost twice as much at a sit-down Mexican restaurant.
Quick and delicious! Service was friendly. Norma took my order and gave me great recommendations. Highly recommend if your in the area. 24/7 and has a good ambiance.
