We had a great time after the Padres game. We stayed across the street and decided to give this place a try. The wings were good. The food was delicious after ballpark food. The waitress was nice and knowledgeable about the menu. The ambiance of the place is very nostalgic to all 80s and 90s kids. The place has cool photo ? areas to see. The place is small and tight in certain areas. The place has a history and needs to be visited if you're in san diego. The beer choices were good. I bought a t shirt at midnight. No regrets. ?
Parking: Limited spots, so get there early.

Nice place to be there If you’re Top Gun & Aviation fan but the food was below average. I had the ribs and they were completely dry and with no flavour.

Well, what to say? As a Top Gun fan i was in heaven. I will probably never visit more cool bar than this one. Full of aviation stuff, top gun artefacts and cool atmosphere.
We have Mac and Cheese, it was not the best what i ate but still, its the TOP GUN. bar!!!
The nicest thing I can say about this restaurant is that the closest Buffalo Wild Wings has excellent service and food.
We walked up to the host stand around 5p on a Thursday. The patio area was mostly empty, but we wanted to get out of the sun so asked for an inside table. The person seating us rolled their eyes as they grabbed menus and led us in, which was a little weird but we figured they thought we wanted to be inside for the memorabilia and were tired of tourists or something, nbd. We were seated between the entrance and the kitchen, right in front of the soft drink dispenser. In the fifteen minutes we sat there, at least four members of the waitstaff - including the person waiting the table behind us - walked past our table, made eye contact, then completely ignored us - even when we held up hands or said "excuse me". No offer of drinks, no "someone will be right with you" - absolutely no acknowledgement of our existence at all. We eventually just left and went to BWW.
As a Kansas City native and fan of Top Gun, this was a spot I'd been really excited about visiting - more for the food than the nostalgia - which made the experience we had that much more disappointing.

We were sat at a table by the hostess and no server ever came. We waited for a while, took some pictures, looked over the menu, used the bathroom, waited, and waited, and then we left. The hostess thanked us for coming as we walked out and I told her no server ever came to our table. She said she was sorry and asked that we try their restaurant again. I can’t rate their food since we never got to eat. We went after 2 and there were plenty of open tables outside and inside so they definitely weren’t packed. Cool spot for Top Gun pictures but that’s about it.
