Had my birthday there, and you can absolutely taste the good quality of the food there. Recommend their premium family combo, I’ll say it’s a good amount for 1-2 people. The regular beef tongue is also a great option. Really nice service, the only problem is it’s a little pricey, but fair enough for what you get.
After an amazing trip to Japan, our son wanted to relive his favorite meal we had there (bbq) for his birthday back in San Diego. We had a great time. Food and service was very good - just like we had in Kyoto.
This was our first visit to a Japanese BBQ restaurant, so our basis for comparison is Korean BBQ which we eat frequently. The grill setup and raw foods were very similar, but we were majorly disappointed. There were no oils or seasonings available, and only 2 sauces which you had to ask to have refilled.
