What a delicious hidden gem in City Heights! Seriously! If you don't know where it is, you are missing out! One of my friends told me about this place and I had to try! But you have to get there early, because they do run out of things. I love their noodles! Great flavor with vegetable and tofu! I'm trying to eat healthy. They also have some sweets like sesame balls with black bean paste. The man working behind the counter is really nice! I've been here a few times. During the morning/afternoon they have hot-ready to go food. I've tried the braised fish and fried chicken wings which were both amazing. I've been trying to get the sweet and sour soup since I heard it's good but they always run out before I get there. I recently tried their bun rieu and it definitely hit the spot. I personally prefer it over Hoai Hue. The service was okay. Everyone was kind but it is definitely a family owned/small business without a ton of staff. The ambiance was basic. There are some tables and seats but don't expect to be waited on. I just ordered at the front, picked a seat, they bring out the food, and i walked back to the front to pay.

I only write reviews for places that deserve it. This place is a hole in the wall, cash only but they make good Vietnamese food for such a cheap price it's unbelievable. In the mornings they have hot items Togo dishes that you have to pick off the grill and in the evenings they have a full 2 board menu that you only can order from.

Don't come here in the early morning around 8 am when there is a elderly man and older woman working here. They literally ripped us off $5 for a 2 item combo. That was all we got and so we had to put 1 item back after we realized that they wanted to overcharge us. Total was going to be $18 for a little food! The old man was coughing without closing his mouth and he didn't understand "English" until he gave us the total at the end speaking in English! The lady didn't even want to help us until she demanded the total. The amount of food he gave us was so small as well for the price. As soon as he knew my husband didn't speak Viet, he took the combo container back and got individual container boxes for each item we wanted instead to get more money from us. And he kept grabbing the wrong foods that we didn't even ask for so my husband who is Asian too kept telling him "no" and pointing his fingers to sign to him what we actually wanted. It took so long to get the correct items. This place is dirty and shady and a disgrace to other Asians for ripping others off. I really wanted to support a small business but had a bad experience here so I will never return.Update: I had a stomachache for 2 days after eating their food so I wouldn't be surprised if they are serving old food. Or the place is unsanitary. The prices displayed are too good to be true.

If you want authentic Vietnamese food, this is the place to go after 5pm. They have variety of food that you can order. We have banh xeo, banh khot, Oc Huong, canh bun and com bo nuong and everything is great. Banh xeo and banh khot is crunchy and dipping sauce is great. Canh bun is ok with a lot of toppings There are tables for you to sit inside. Good customer service.

Our group came here for dinner today after other planned restaurants closed. The foods are yummy, authentic with very good price (no pricy at all) Lots of choices for our craving of Vietnamese food-street. My favorite here is for the snails/shells (ốc hương/chem chép nướng), canh bún, red bean porridge (cháo đậu đỏ) Tonight first time I tried the white bean dessert here (not in my picture), have not had that dessert for awhile, it was in a big cup and they cook pretty fresh hot... Staffs were very friendly and nice. **Bring cash here coz they only take cash

LEGIT. We got the Long ga (chicken rice porridge), pho ga (chicken pho), bun rieu (crab noodle soup). Everything was damn good. So flavorful. Hit the spot. Sent pics to my best friend who is viet and she said "wtf it looks like you're in Vietnam". All I can say is. If you like/love Vietnamese food. Highly highly recommend.

Definitely a hidden gem. I've always wanted to come into this place but it was never the right time, either they were closed or I've already ate dinner and then noticed that it was opened. Yesterday (9/6) i went right when Yelp said it was open; 6pm. The inside has definitely seen better days but that was the best part, you can tell this Moms & Pops restaurant been here for a while. The layout of the food was buffet style so you can choose what you'd like or look at the pictures for menu orders and aside from that everything else was in Vietnamese. I did not dine in but placed my order to go and I knew exactly what I wanted just from looking at previous yelp review and that's what I ordered; snails! It was delicious I should have placed two orders! I'll definitely come back & maybe try some other items on the menu.
The place was a beacon in the night, the only late night pho available for miles. Our gratitude is endless, much like the noodles in the soup bowl we were served. Kind and help staff, warm hearts, warm dumplings. Crab soup is a score! Slam dunk in the tum.
