After trying the location in K-town in LA, I was excited to find there was a location in San Diego! Located in the Zion food court, the main downside of this location is that you can't pick the food yourself the way you can at the others. They did do a good job otherwise, as the lady helping me always asked how many I wanted of each item I picked. When I didn't see some items on display, I asked about them and the lady gladly went in the back to get it. My favorite things to get in this are the tripe, lamb, crown daisy, tofu skin, and the thick glass noodles. There's a ton of other great stuff to mix in. I prefer the dry hot pot preparation, with a spice level 3. Note--the spice level 3 here is like a spice level 2 in LA. I didn't notice intestine or quail eggs as options here. The to-go utensil packet was a pleasant surprise bc it came with a spoon, a sealed pair of chopsticks, and a sealed wet napkin. Overall, the food was still the same great flavor, but the experience was just a bit less exciting. Would definitely come back though, and would also come back to get to go as well!

This review is long overdue given that we come here pretty often whenever we have mala cravings. We always get the build-your-own dry mala hotpot (mild spiciness) and young chow fried rice; both are flavorful and have great wok aroma ("wok hei"). We also tried their kungpao chicken once, but we were not impressed so we went back to our usual menu. The downside about this place is that it takes forever for the food to come out, so don't come here if you are in a rush.

It's expensive and tasteless, the first time and the last time!

Can't be worse. Same price but less food.

My husband and I have to wait for our order for 1 hour, they’re too slow!!!! I would love to give them no stars if possible.

Yucky!!!! food is not good. Too spicy and salty for non-Korean customers. I was able to finish 20% of the portion.. what a waste of money I don't know how this restaurant is still running.

Rounding up since it's my first time. Really enjoyed the kung pao chicken. Yummy. The chicken fried noodles were less interesting. Bland actually. Not only did they taste bland, but they looked bland. I should have taken a photo. They tasted exactly how they looked. Add some sauce, Wok Bar!

At first, I really loved the food at Wok Bar. When I wanted to eat there again, I chose all the ingredients I wanted to have in my dry pot. You pay by weight, so they put them all in a bowl and weigh them before they cook it. They even asked exactly how many tofu pieces, shrimp, which really made me pay attention to how much I was actually ordering. When the food came out I was wondering why the portion looked so small. They took out like half the shrimp, half the tofu and everything although I already paid for it! Reading other customer's reviews, this seemed to happen to other people as well. Very dissappointing!

This place takes your weight when you build your own hot pot then take it in the back and pull ingredients out and probably put it back on the line! I know it wasn't another customer's order because there was no one else there! Stay away!!!
