Wok Bar / P - Kup

After trying the location in K-town in LA, I was excited to find there was a location in San Diego! Located in the Zion food court, the main downside of this location is that you can't pick the food yourself the way you can at the others. They did do a good job otherwise, as the lady helping me always asked how many I wanted of each item I picked. This review is long overdue given that we come here pretty often whenever we have mala cravings. We always get the build-your-own dry mala hotpot (mild spiciness) and young chow fried rice; both are flavorful and have great wok aroma ("wok hei"). We also tried their kungpao chicken once, but we were not impressed so we went back to our usual menu. The downside about this place is that it takes forever for the food to come out, so don't come here if you are in a rush.

Rounding up since it's my first time. Really enjoyed the kung pao chicken. Yummy. The chicken fried noodles were less interesting. Bland actually. Not only did they taste bland, but they looked bland. I should have taken a photo. They tasted exactly how they looked. Add some sauce, Wok Bar!
