I usually dont get wowed with Mexican dood as ive been eating it all my life and have go to places . I had been wanting to try yeaenias closer to home as rhwy have a location closerr my way , but i found myself at this location at 6:30 am. I ordered what i normally order at a new place a carne asada burrito. And let me tell u it did not disappoint .. it actually impressed good quality meat good guac good tortilla good salsa!! Cannot complain very good food from my first impression....
The food actually tasted kind of bland. While we were waiting for our food I looked around and saw that almost everyone there was adding some kind of hot sauce or other flavoring item to their food. I'm not from the area so I wasn't sure if it was strange or a precursor to not great food. But they were swamped. So we figured it was good eats. It wasn't the worst Mexican food we've ever had. But it also wasn't in it to 5 either.
Solid Mexican food, but just not as good as Robert Jalapenos in the plaza over. The best was the fish taco - well cooked, large, and perfectly adorned, but a limp, flavorless double corn tortilla got in the way and adds more dry carb to an otherwise great bite.
The flautas had great toppings, but the beef filling inside tasted unseasoned and textureless and could have been any mystery meat paste. Use of mixed shredded Mexican cheese is always a give away versus...
