No other pizza compares to Zia. They use pastry dough instead of regular dough, the ingredients are seasonal, and the prep for a lot of the regular ingredients are phenomenal. Also: killer beer selection.

Food was amazing! We came in a bit late before closing and Zaw Zaw the owner kindly took us in to take our orders. You can tell he’s passionate about his restaurant as he wanted to find the perfect pizza recommendations for our table :). We tried the New Yorker, pepperoni mascarpone, potato, and the eggplant pizza! The pizza was fresh and the crust was perfect! He even came out to check on our table and converse with us. He even let us try the dessert pizza! I highly recommend you try this place out if your in the area.

The staff here are fun and super charismatic; absolutely amazing service. The food is also incredible, novel and unique. They offer a variety of pizzas and toppings, ranging from a hearty and classic pepperoni and mascarpone pizza to a litany of vegan pizzas. My group and I agreed the Monday night best was our favorite vegan pizza but had some close runner ups with the vegan butternut squash and the shiny.

The owner is one of the coolest dudes your ever gonna meet. Pizza is fresh and very original. Reminds me of new York pizza with a California twist and the beer selection, Where do I get started they might have a better variety than some of your favorite bars. Will definitely be back for more, Highly recommended for all .!!

Amazing place with a laidback ambiance to visit with your family and friends. The service is top notch. We ordered half and half of pepperoni mascarpone and chipotle soy chorizo pizza, both were amazing. The guys behind the counter was very sweet and even gave me a slice to try on the house. Will return to try their other options!!!

Zia's has the best crust in San Diego. Nowhere else is even close. My favorite is the Cheesy but try some of their other combos. Cranberries and yogurt sauce on pizza?! YES! And it is delicious!
