Zoe is trying to do too much. Mexican menu, Italian menu, now burgers and pretzels and who knows what else. Nachos kinda bland, steak mediocre all covered in mostly generic nacho sauce which then reappeared on the pretzel bites. I’d recommend sticking to one cuisine and do it better quality. Never ventured into the Italian menu but at a brewery food truck I’m not really in the mood for an alfredo dinner. Would prob skip next time.

This was the worst taco / excuse for Mexican food I’ve ever had in San Diego or LA.

I don’t like leaving negative reviews but I feel compelled to do so in this case (mainly in hopes the business tries to improve).

We decided to go with the shrimp tacos and that was a gigantic mistake.

First off, the menu said $10 and we assumed that was 2 tacos, but in reality it was one. So we were surprised when we paid $25 (including tip) for 2 tacos with like 5, maybe 6, tortilla chips.

To start, the tacos were very small. I think it’d be more honest if they described them as ‘taquitos’ on their menu.

These ‘tacos’ were like a salad trying to be a taco. I think they went to Vons and got a generic garden / spring salad mix and threw a lot of greens on top of unseasoned, probably grilled, but tasted like steamed shrimp, and then added some sauce (on only the top half of the taco) to try to make it taste any good. It was so bad.

The only thing that helped my gf and I feel any type of good about this food was that there were like 4-5ish shrimp per taco which felt generous for how bad everything else was.

If each of these tacos was $2, maybe $3 dollars, I would go on with my life and never again think about these tacos… but for $10 a taco I’m expecting you to at least show some effort in what you serve. This was a sad showing.

I hope this business reads this and tries to improve. I’m sure they’ll be fine in the short run but it seems like this isn’t a sustainable practice. Who knows, maybe their other dishes are worth it.

Visited them at AleSmith in Miramar.
The steak burrito came out quickly.
The chips and salsa were some of the best I’ve ever had, period! Perfect spice, perfectly crisp.
The burrito was huge! The guacamole was tasty. The steak itself was pretty bland. Very oily. But all in all was a fine burrito, just not amazing. Prices weren’t too bad considering.

For $10 I expected the chicken taco to be delicious…instead it was a grilled chicken salad with hardly any dressing in a tortilla. It was dry and flavorless. Worst taco I’ve ever had and piled so high with lettuce it was impossible to eat. I guess it would be good if you were looking for something very healthy. Maybe charge $5 and put less stuff in it so it can be eaten like a taco and add a sauce??

Took a half hour for a panini at a busy conference. I couldn’t even enjoy my lunch. They also had no drinks for sale either and didn’t seem to think it was an issue. Do not recommend.

1. I ordered a flatbread and it took 45 minutes. When it arrived, the bottom was burnt, completely black. I took it back and a new one was made, free of charge.2. While I was waiting, they shut down their operation in the middle of the dinner rush, claiming they were backed up. If you are scheduled as one of two food trucks for a sold out event, you should plan accordingly.3. I do have to say the gal taking orders had wonderful customer service. The way she handled my burnt pizza and everyone else who tried to order after they shut down was very respectful. She is the reason I am giving an extra star.

DELICIOUS! PROFESSIONAL and INCREDIBLE SERVICE! I have been a Wedding & Private Events DJ/Emcee for 25 years. Recently, I DJd and Emceed a local Grand Opening for a business. Zoe's Place Food Truck provided all of the food, for the 100s of attendees, mostly business professionals in the community! I was one of the first to grab a plate and I knew, from the first bite, that I was going to enjoy it. The food was cooked perfectly and the portions were great! They had different options, to appease different palates. They were timely and organized, especially to provide food for so many people! I saw smiles and satisfied tummys, all over the place! I highly recommend connecting with Zoe's Place for your next celebration. Cheers! Take care and God Bless! I'm sad to write this. I have no problem waiting for food; 20-40 minutes, no problem.Ordered the "steak fries and quesadilla" at Alesmith Brewing during their Fright Night Halloween event.Food looked good, tasted great but unfortunately it was ice cold.Didn't have time to complain and request another plate. However I'll never order from this truck again.I hope this critique helps them improve.
