I love the quality of the food, the environment is so welcoming and the customer service is always great. The employees are always smiling and have such good energy.
Over all 5 stars
Food is authentic Mexican very good with flavor, staff is very nice and friendly and very reasonable prices and nice atmosphere..
Came early 9ish had chile verde....just as good as my wifes. If she ever leaves me I know where imma come to eat (shh dont tell her). Food was Hot Hot Hot...just how I like it generous portions. Look at 5he pic!
Delicious empanadas and margaritas. The mole is very good and the chips, guacamole, rice and beans are made fresh š
An order was placed for taquitos, 160 pieces, I paid in advance to pick up 1pm, I arrived at 1:20pm and they were not ready yet, they were not ready until 1:55pm, they covered them with plastic when I got home, all the taquitos were moist and soft, very bad service and with horrible attitude. Need to be better trained.

We ate at el abuelo today horrible experience and we regret even going. We both ordered burrito mojados. We waited very long for them to come out and when they did they were cold the meat was luke warm but the sauce was cold and the rice was hard! we were very hungry and very tired from our long work day the day before so we decided to wait All over again would make us very unhappy . The waiter never asked how our food was never came to give us a refill she also did not offer me any water as my boyfriend had only ordered a menu drink but I was also thirsty. Any time she came to the table it was because I went out of my way to ask which was once to ask for more water chips and pico de gallo which she never said costed extra I had to ask. Eventually by the end of our meal another server comes by and asks how we are doing and offered to refill our drink at this point we thought it only best to complain to our server or manager only to find out that our server who never checked on us was the manager ! We let her know about our burritos and she said why didnāt we tell her sooner and I replied you never checked to see how we were doing and explained that we were very hungry and tired and didnāt want to wait all over again. She said she would take off the one drink and add a small discount but she only took off the drink and never added a discount . I suggest she sits down eats a cold burrito with hard rice and then be asked to pay for it. We were very unhappy and after all of that that manager still returned to say she spoke with the kitchen manager and the kitchen manager said the rice was fine . What a joke!!!! A rude joke I let her know that it was indeed hard , burned , or old . She also said next time tell us sooner so they could fix it next time. Iām sorry but we never return to places that we donāt like. We never complain when we go out to eat but we usually also are able to pay 30$ and at the very least receive hot fresh food. Bad experience will never return. The place seems like it is outdated not that that usually bothers me itās just I would say donāt bother and donāt waste your money

When we enter the waitress faces had attitude all over them. Long wait to order, long wait to get food and long wait for the bill. My husband told the lady to bring my daughter food in a to go container because we know she will not eat it all. Of course she didnāt listen. She assumed that we were taking it to go. Then when my husband ask about my daughter food. She start to argue with him. That is when waiting of the bill timer began. Then when we asked for more cabbage for the pozole. They right away said they ran out. I didnāt believe it. How do you run out of cabbage when u service pozole. Then the rice was SUPER raw. The nachos are made with boiled chicken and jack cheese. Yuck!!! Totally not worth the money. We will never go there again. Donāt waste ur money at this restaurant. You are better get off spending it on street tacos!!!!

Chicken with mole. Before covid they would usually give a thigh plus leg with this dish, fresh and tasty. Now you get pieces of chicken with the mole. Many chicken pieces were old,dry up like leather COULDN'T chew them. But you can't tell because mole covers everything. Tortillas only thing that wasn't disappointing, homemade ?

I got a raised from work today. thought I should take my family out to celebrate at a family owed local restaurant Abuelito. Worst MISTAKE ever. Waitress was very argumentative with strong negative vibes. Went home looked at my receipt .They over charged me. I called number on receipt ask for manager. I was transferred to a manger a woman. I told her my situation guess what she did. Manager put argumentative waitress on the phone with me. Waitress started going off on me. I was then transferred back to manager. She ask for my name, I gave it to her and then manager jus hanged up on me. Wow rude. I called back ask to speak to her supervisor she denied me and would not give me her name or waitress name. Guys this is the first time I ever take the time to write a review specially a bad one. I just feel mistreated. I need to do something about it. Waitress I get she's tired, but manager very unprofessional and doesn't listen to customer. ALL THIS FOR $ 6 DISCREPANCY. Not to mention chicken was pink, rice under cooked.

Good place to eat..simple but good Mexican food, the waiters/waitresses are kind, one can get a chilled beer to drink with their food. The corn tortillas which are freshly made with a hand press for your meal, are delicious. At my age, I'm 68, I'm fascinated with small simple things; the Abuelo logo which was stamped onto the warm tortillas really left an impression on me. Sincerely, M. Rivera
Kid-friendliness: The restaurant is very kid friendly- it reminded me of eating at your grandmas house, everyone was happy and relaxed, customers were different races, the servers spoke English and Spanish.
