We love A Mano - we had a 5:15 reservation for our party of 7. We were seated right away. Varied menu for everyone's tastes, allergies and preferences. Great for vegetarians. The pasta dishes were excellent and very rich. Service was very good. The restaurant is noisy, but it's a fun noisy.
a Mano made my birthday dinner incredibly special. We had to increase our party size last minute and Kevin, the manager, did a wonderful job fitting us all in and getting creative with the communal table. The service is friendly and on point. The food is incredible and great for sharing. The vibe at the spot is upscale to feel like a celebration but also comfortable to allow for easy conversation. We stayed for far longer than we anticipated and everyone left very happy. Would highly recommend for a group dinner!
The Advertising World would love to know that I received one email announcing new brunch service at A Mano and I called my sister and we had reservations within an hour of receiving the email. I have loved coming to A Mano for their delicious salad and fresh pasta lunch, and occasionally dinner before a show. The highlights of this brunch were: Easy to make Rez Surprisingly not crowded The cauliflower appetizer was truly scrumptious and flavorful The “Italian” bread (read: French toast, was tasty. It was a pleasant and lowkey experience.
Amazing outdoor ambience, unusual for the neighborhood. Friendly, gracious servers who knew the unique wine list quite well. Had two different wines that I've never had before, both Italian, both delicious. The food was high quality and flavorful, some different options compared with traditional Italian restaurants.
Food was delicious and came out quickly! The place was a little loud but despite that, I could hear my personal conversations very well. I would definitely come back
Quick seating. Small tables. Felt like we could have been seating in an area with more space considering there was many tables available. Server was not welcoming. Seemed like he didn't want to be there. We felt rushed. Food was good. It came out in 5 minutes of ordering.
Great service, decent steak. Went here for a friend's birthday. I can't eat pasta, so I ate the steak.
Highly recommend the Bucatini!
Food was unimpressive. We had the margarita pizza. It had too much sauce and the crust was doughy.
As always it was delicious! We got the usual which is the arancini balls plus the mushroom pizza which was to die for. My favorite local restaurant.

We used to love A Mano but the food has changed. Bigger portions (too big!!) and tasteless food. Our waiter said there were changes in the kitchen and that we were not the only clients to be disappointed.
We were very late so they adjusted our reservation. The food came quickly and the cocktails were delicious. Only complaint is that we felt a bit cramped.
Nice restaurant in Hayes Valley-went with a colleague for lunch. First time here so we ordered a few dishes to share. Enjoyed the food and the service was good. Would definitely recommend it and look forward to returning.
The noise level was off the charts. Very difficult to converse with tables being so close and as the venue filled-up, it got even worse.
Delicious homemade pasta — tasted just like in Italy.
