ABV Bar in San Francisco is a hidden gem for spirits lovers. They’ve got super cool, fairly priced selections across the board—food, wine, beer, mezcal, bourbon, Japanese whisky, and scotch. The owners are incredibly friendly and accommodating, which makes the vibe even better. Solid choice for cocktails and casual food at reasonable prices. Extensive drink menu with knowledgeable bartenders who take time to explain their creations.
Tried several cocktails - the one with carrot juice was surprisingly delicious and well-portioned. Ahi tuna tartare ($19) with sesame chips was fresh and tasty.
Food is casual but good quality - perfect for date night or hanging with friends. Not fancy, but that's exactly the vibe they're going...
The drinks were great. But I got a weird vibe. As I and other patrons walked in around 1am, I was confused to see disappointment and disbelief on the bartenders’ faces.

At first I thought it was just me imaging things, but after several other patrons wandered in to the same reactions and even verbal comments between the staff, it was just a weird vibe. Probably a long day, but generally made me feel unwelcome.
