I walked up and was not greeted at all. No “good morning,” no “hello,” nothing. The young man behind the counter looked toward the other staff member who walked aroundinside, then pointed at me instead of simply acknowledging me as a customer.
That interaction alone was enough to make me walk away. The lack of basic professionalism and customer service was a deal-breaker. First impressions matter, and this one was poor. I chose not to spend my money here.

This was my first time visiting this store, and unfortunately, it was a bad experience. The person working there blocked the entrance and asked me to order from the street. I think it was because of the rain and they didn't want to get the place dirty.
The service was terrible, what a shame, I was really looking forward to trying their food

These guys are always open. You feeling like an eclair but it's 1 am. These guys got you. The apple fritter I purchased was perfectly balanced with the crispy to soft and perfectly sweet. I don't do donuts often but I am super glad I did today. Hats off to the baker.

I come to All Star Café regularly and I can’t eat pork, so I always order the same thing: a simple 3-item breakfast sandwich (turkey, egg, and cheese). I’ve been coming here long enough that the men who work later in the day know my order and never give me a hard time. They also understand that turkey is just a substitute for bacon/ham/sausage and shouldn’t cost extra. Even when I show up after breakfast hours, they accommodate me without issue.

However, the morning staff is a completely different story. I went in during breakfast hours and was told that turkey is “more expensive” and apparently counts as two items, which makes absolutely no sense. How is turkey—literally a standard substitute for pork—suddenly a premium item? I understand the concept of “not breakfast time = higher price,” but charging extra for a substitute protein is absurd and feels like an excuse.

On top of that, one (if not both) of the two Asian women working the morning shift consistently treat me with an attitude that feels dismissive and borderline prejudiced. I’m a Black customer, and the difference in how I’m treated by the morning staff compared to the men later in the day is noticeable and uncomfortable. Whether it’s the tone, the looks, or the unwillingness to provide the same basic consideration I ALWAYS get from the other staff, it’s clear the service is not equal.

This is unacceptable—especially as a regular customer who comes in multiple times a week. If the pricing is going to be inconsistent, and if certain staff members are going to act like accommodating a simple dietary restriction is a burden, then this place needs better training and better management. As much as I enjoy the food, the morning experience makes me not want to return.
