Hands down the best Thai restaurant in San Francisco by a long shot. It’s authentic, cozy, and absolutely delicious. This is the flavor depth I’ve been craving with a menu that allows me to try so many new things too.

I went here with some friends for lunch and the food was great -- they followed my order's spice specifications. Unfortunately it took about 15 minutes for our order to be taken, despite the restaurant only being about half filled during the time we were there.

All the dishes especially the Koh Soi is excellent, I have not had a dish here. I have been several times before I reviewed this place. Cozy place easy to park. Only complaint is that it's expensive the koh soi and veggies fried rice with tax and tip is $60. Probably the most expensive I had in the city. But it's very good.

They took a while (like 20+ min) to take order for our group. Food is good with the right amount of spicy.

My favorite Thai restaurant in the SF Bay area. Now I wish the ambience was better. However, the food is spectacular. Even traditional Thai dishes that we’ve all have had, like Pad Thai with shrimp, taste, new and fresh. Something simple as tea is made in a special way that brings joy when sipping.

My family has been coming to amphawa for years and it has also been a solid experience. However, it breaks my heart that the service and quality has been going down. I recently ordered takeout and found pieces of noodle when none of the dishes that I ordered had noodles! Luckily I do not have allergies but it made me worried about cross-contamination with other dishes. Hopefully this was a one-time thing but I would definitely be clear if you have any allergies since they may not be as st with cleanliness. Otherwise, the flavors are on point and their mixed seafood curry is unbeatable. I would also recommend the papaya salad but they only give a few pieces of fresh shrimp. The space is small so it is mostly a takeout operation but they definitely have seating so just be prepared to wait on a busy night!

Came here on a Saturday for lunch with some of my friends. The place is pretty small, and it took a while to get our food. I was feeling hungrier than usual, so I ordered 2 entrees: a Pad Thai and a Kao Ka-Prow Moo Krob (Crispy pork belly with chili, onions, bell peppers, and fresh basil with rice). The pork belly was very crispy and delicious, and the Pad Thai was pretty good too.Definitely going to come here again if I'm in the area.

The ambiance was a 3/5. It was cute, not nothing special; just super casual. The whole place was very clean too.We started with the fish cakes which were alright. The dish was saved by the cucumber salad because it gave it the pop of flavor and crunch it needed. We also got the angle wings as an app and those were down right delicious! They were saucy but still crunchy and crispy. For mains, we got the green curry which was solid but missing some kind of hero spice and zing. The pumpkin curry was awesome. One small note would be the butternut squash needs to be cooked a bit more as it was a little hard. We each got a cocktail too which - the mojito was mid but the Pomrita was simple but fantastic.Service was good. They were consistent and attentive, but not overly in your face.

They were able to make a vegetarian/vegan Khao Soi (upon request) with Tofu. It was fantastic and loaded with protein! It was really soothing on a cold day like today. Highly recommend.Vegetarian options: Tons of veg options

My first time coming here. Im from Texas and was told by my girlfriend that this was a hidden gem, and gotta say the food here was amazing, and the customer service was also on par. The atmosphere was wonderful. You know it's an amazing restaurant when you see a group of people come in and the owner welcome them with open arms. I had fried pork with rice, and the food was very flavorful and delicious. I definitely recommend this place. 10/10

This review is limited to vegetarian dishes only.I'm underwhelmed by the three visits in a month to this restaurant. With vegetarian friends, we tried a significant portion of the menu for vegetarians. The basil eggplant dish has undercooked eggplants. The pumpkin in the pumpkin curry was crunchy, not firm but undercooked crunchy. I could go on, but you get the point. The tofu pad thai was the best dish, but unremarkable.I get they are understaffed and busy, but if it weren't the most convenient restaurant, I wouldn't have returned after the first visit.I may go back one more time without my vegetarian friends to give a more balanced review.

Really bad low quality thai food. Probably one of the worst in SF. No clue how they have good reviews. Food is greasy, flavorless, and they skimp on meat. The pad se ew and pad thai have just a few scraps of meat between them. Not really a lot of veggies other. Noodles are flavorless.Chicken satay is dry and bland. Papaya salad was soggy and bland. Very bad.Ate here 3 times, unfortunately, and didnt like it each time. No more.
