We celebrated my brother’s 78th birthday by taking him to An Chi! The staff was so kind and made us feel very welcomed. The broths and sauces were so delicious. We shared everything and it was outstanding food. Such a charming and clean environment.Go there!

Loved this simple hole in the wall Vietnamese place. We had the Pho Ga. The broth was light and homely. No unnecessary ingredients in there! It seems like a great place for ordering in as well. The Vietnamese iced coffee was a solid shot straight up the brain! Perfect for hangovers ?

Great food, great prices. We've enjoyed Pho #1, pork banh mi sandwiches and shrimp rolls. Nice, attentive service, great attention to details.

This place delivered the smallest amount of pho i’ve ever received. Don’t waste your money here unless you enjoy a small cereal bowl of broth and one tiny piece of flank.

Cozy mom and pop restaurant - food was good, we would come back again. Parking is a bit tricky to find (not unexpected in SF). Ordered the pho tai and my partner ordered the bun rieu. I enjoyed the pho and would order it again. However, my partner and I would pass on the bun rieu next time. because it was missing that umami punch that we're used to.Kid-friendliness: High chairs are available on request

Solid Vietnamese food in the Richmond!Bun rieu had a nice clean tomato crab flavor to it. Boosted with lots of fried shallots so you'll get that too with every bite and sip of the soup. Pho was just solid. No frills. Banh kot (we had the one with shrimp) has all the right flavors, only small nit is that I personally prefer them to be a bit crispier. It was a bit doughy texture wise in the inside and thought it could've been cooked a little longer, else it was a lovely starter! Loved that the fish sauce was perfectly made too, not too salty and a bit on the sweeter side - just the way I like it!Eating here felt comforting and reminded me a bit of home. Service was super attentive and nice, with constant re-pours of hot tea! Overall, would def come back when I'm in the area.

My go-to for some great Beef Carpaccio a.k.a Bo Tai Chanh when I'm near the Little Russia/Central Richmond District. They have everything I like in a Vietnamese restaurant from fresh ingredients, generous portions and reasonable prices. The family running this restaurant is very friendly and is always happy to bring me extra lemons or jalapenos when I ask. Overall, a great place to get a comforting meal at an affordable price.

Best Vietnamese food ever. Ordered Grilled Pork, chicken vermicelli, and Beef Pho. My order was ready within 15mins. Generous portions and decent price. The waiter was very friendly and asked if I needed any Utensils. Great Service & Great Food! Will definitely order again

For takeout on Monday, October 16Husband wanted Vietnamese cuisine for lunch. An Chi was close enough, a little over 2 blocks, for us to walk there and place an order to bring back. As we entered, the server was handing a takeout order to a waiting customer. Husband knew he wanted Charbroiled Pork with Imperial Rolls and Vermicelli. I ordered Garlic Noodles with Shrimp and Five Spice Chicken Rice Plate for my father and me. The server is easygoing. They have a discount for takeout orders until October 31st. We were eligible for a $5 discount on our $40 order. It would be 15 minutes for the order to be ready. We went for a short walk and returned. The food was ready. There was a good amount of shrimp in my dish as well as lots of minced garlic. The noodles were al dente. The 5 Spice Chicken had good flavor and was a generous 1/4 of a chicken. The Imperial Rolls were crunchy and tasty. Husband was pleased with my choice of restaurant. We will need to takeout from here again the next time we're in the city.

I was feeling homesick and needed some Vietnamese food BAD. I went to a few locations in the city that were super Americanized and overpriced so I thought I'd go to Richmond district where I heard had the best Vietnamese food and giiiirl.. they did not disappoint. Without the shrimp paste the broth was so soothing and the aroma instantly made me smile. I just knew I found the right spot! Ps. You know the food is gonna slap when they actually DO have shrimp paste! Service was so quick and they staff are so kind! Would recommend this place ten times over for anyone looking for authentic Vietnamese food.
