*ONE STAR* Happy Cow won’t allow less cuz it’s a vegetarian “restaurant”. Don’t try going here it’s a ghost kitchen on a pretty filthy alleyway. Not sure what this is, I don’t think it is still run by the Sri Chimnoy monks? I don’t think this should even be on Happy Cow, it’s not a vegetarian restaurant. The kitchen is being shared with a bunch of other restaurants and again, it is a ghost kitchen so there’s no place to sit or anything. It seems like someone just using the name of an old veg restaurant that shut down to try to make a little money Updated from previous review on 2024-11-28
Picking up a take out order was confusing. It tells you to go to 6th Street but to pick up is behind the building on Morris where it says "Soma Food Court". However the man who was working was very helpful over the phone. He was also helpful as I'm vegan and gf. He suggested the "neat" loaf without gravy as it had wheat. I also got the gf peach blueberry cobbler. When I picked up the food the bag was HEAVY. So needless to say the portions are pretty generous. Food was amazing, I love how they brown the top of the mashed potatoes. Definitely would go back.

I was really excited that Ananda Fuara is open again, and the appetizers and entrees we ordered are still so good - but, oh no, what happened to the cakes?!? We got slices of both the chocolate and cardamom rose cakes, our two favorites from before they had closed. They were the best cakes… but they just aren’t the same. Less icing and the cake isn’t nearly as good as it used to be. So disappointed! Also, it’s a ghost kitchen, so take out only, unfortunately. Overall still yummy.
I'm so glad this place is back!! I adore their food.
Unique place for a good meal before the Opera.

Loved the food and ambience
Even though the service was not the greatest, food was amazing.
Not only is the food delicious and healthy, but I always feel a very relaxing and spiritual connection. So I set for a little while after my meal with a cup of tea, enjoying tranquil vibes.
Food was delicious, but the chai tea was definitely the best chai I've ever had!

Ordered a vegan wrap and they gave me one with SO much real cheese in it. Couldn't eat it and they tried to charge me for it before anything else.
This place is not clean.

A friend and I visited this spot before attending a show at Orpheum theatre. The menu was vegetarian, vega and gluten friendly, which was great to see. We ordered the neat loaf and the ravioli, both of which was delicious! The staff were courteous and food was served fast. I would definitely visit again and try other items on the menu and the collection of desserts, which looked good.
Spectacular food, relaxing place and polite and kind staff
Had chicken pesto wrap here as luch. Of course the food was all vegan and I loved it. Thinking of going on vegan foods all over ?

Some of the best vegan food in the world. I make it a point to go every time I'm in the city. Everything is amazing, their chiquen nuggets are peerless.

I am adapting to healthier food choices. Abstaining from meat has been a treacherous path...
Either Vegetarian or Vegan, the Chef's at Ananda Fuara knows how to make plant-based products taste like the real deal!
I highly recommend the "Portobello Quesadilla" and the awesome "Meatloaf Dinner" served with Potatoes and Gravy.
