If I could give this restaurant 6 or 7 stars I would. The food was fabulous. I HATE FENNEL but many of the dishes--even a dessert--had fennel and they were fantastic. The anise taste I don't like was eliminated and the chef created numerous dishes with wonderful texture and taste and aesthetic. How this place doesn’t have a Michelin star is beyond me. Everything about Anomaly is wonderful. The venue, the neighborhood, the food, the staff - all of it works in perfect harmony. Chef Mike Lanham has put together true originality into all his dishes. Listen to him talk and you really appreciate the thought that has gone into his menu. Pair that with a staff that is extremely knowledgeable about what to pair with the food - wine, cider, sake, etc. It all works.
