One of the waiters tripped me on my way to the bathroom. Place is very small and crowded.

Had an incredible omakase experience at this fantastic restaurant. Walked past then in on a whim and was immediately welcomed in and rewarded with an amazing variety of fresh, delicious fish, served with great skill and knowledge of what their customers need to try. Could not have been happier with our experience at Ariake. Excellent service to boot. Go here, you will not be disappointed!

Ariake is one of those rare neighborhood spots that gets everything right. Fresh, generous cuts of fish, rolls that are creative, fantastic udon noodles, and warm family-run service that makes you feel like a regular instantly. No frills, no pretense, just consistently delicious sushi at a reasonable price for SF. A true neighborhood gem and an easy five stars.

We visited this place on a whim and without a doubt, the sushi from Ariake is the best sushi you can treat yourself to in the Bay Area. We try Ikura at every japanese restaurant we go to and theirs is the best I've ever had amongst all of them.

My family and friends have been coming here for 20 plus years. Great food, great service, and the sushi is the star of the show. It's mildly pricey, but realistically it's not expensive either comparatively. It's just the cost of living these days is ridiculous. Best of all, Ariake never disappoints... The spicy QP roll, Maguro Mango roll, are some of our favorites... Enjoy!

Best sushi in SF. Period. The quality is top notch and the amount of fish per nigiri is unmatched. Selection is amazing as well. The chef has been in business for 26 years. He knows what’s up. I’ve been a patron for over 10 years and it’s still as good as ever. If you love sushi – especially raw sushi – you gotta try this place!

Sometimes you come towards a meal that just makes you sad cause you know it's gonna end. I knew this one would make me shed tears from the first bite. One of the best sushi I've had in the US (and I've been to a bunch of incredible ones in NYC and Chicago). Had the double albacore, moon dog and QP roll (scallops), and a salmon belly nigiri. Can't wait to come back. Incredible meal. 10/10. I miss it already. So sad.

Absolutely amazing rolls. We got the double albacore, the QP and moon dog and all were fantastic. These are far superior to most sushi places we've tried in our outside the city. Service was quick on a Saturday afternoon. Will be dreaming about this food until we can come back.
