Bought some silver needle, looks to be from yunnan but I’m unsure. Lot of broken and off-coloured buds I should’ve looked at before buying lowkey but I was busy and relied on the reputation of this place to assume it was gonna be a nicer tea. Anyway, wouldn’t really buy from here again I feel like the pricing was quite extreme for a medium grade silver needle from yunnan (50 for 2 oz)

Knowledgeable and generous with time to find the right teas for myself and my family. The owner sources himself and runs this family shop. He introduced me to pu-erh and wow! I didn’t know what I had been missing. The online store has a fun and interesting video of their trips to source the teas. Really informative of the process. I enjoyed the discussion and tastings while in the shop and have been back multiple times. I was glad to find the website and ordered online too during the shutdown last year.

I came here while visiting SF about 7 years ago and the selection and service was great. Fast forward to when I visited easier this week and not only has the selection gone downhill into an assortment of artificially flavoured garbage, but the service has got to be one of the worst experiences I have had in a retail store. As customers we were treated like a distraction and annoyance rather than somebody to whom this business was interested in selling to. I once looked forward to ordering my tea from here, but not anymore.Tea tasting is absolutely not free. It is $5.

Fantastic tea selection run by a friendly family. They'll pour tasting samples and recommend new tea options based on what you currently like. Buy by the ounce. They also sell tea accessories (tea pots, tea cups, etc.)
