Absolutely stunning food! I was here for dinner and breakfast and both really delivered. Would highly recommend

Decor is nice, however, the seating area is right next to lobby and elevator with little separation. We had breakfast on Sunday morning at 8:30am and by 9:30, the noise level is relatively high already. $40 person for breakfast. Although food quality is good, the favor is subpar compared to typical SF level. Service is attentive and good.
Went for lunch , was looking forward to something unique ... nothing special. There was some kind of dirt on my food and took me a while to figure out the plant near the salt and pepper shaker that transferred. Tried chicken sandwich and it was nothing unique and the place was really disappointing visually
I came here for the cherry blossom afternoon tea. Manika and Wen went above and beyond to make it so special for us since we were celebrating our anniversary. They were so attentive and hospitable. The food was good and the tea selection was nice. Highly recommend.

Simply wonderful. Food was delicious and service was excellent. It was heartwarming to see several of the team that worked at Vitrine and Ame are back. It would be awesome if a full service restaurant of the caliber of Ame would return to the St. Regis. Ame was extraordinary. I miss it and I miss Vitrine which was like a refuge for me in 2013-14 during a very difficult time in my life.
Sweets were good, savory options were pretty generic/was not worth the price. Basically the same things you could get at a dim sum house near you with no extra special add-ons or anything. Service was good, atmosphere was nice, and great for photos. You can only pick one tea, but your server might let you pick more than one.
We have been here twice. First time was mixed (my pasta was disappointing but my wife had delicious poached eggs with salmon). We were invited back and second time my Wagyu burger was really good and my wife had the poached eggs again. The service and ambience are top notch as you would expect at the St Regis
Food was way too overpriced. Not worth it one bit. Nearly 450$ for two people and it hardly included anything special. Very disappointed in the way this restaurant tries to market itself as “fine dining” when most of the plates we received were cold and bland at best. This included the short ribs, crab, and potatoes, along with other mediocre items

I have lived in London for twenty years and I have been fortunate to go to some of the finest afternoon teas you can have in that city (think of The Ritz, The Savoy...), Astra is the lobby of the St Regis hotel, you have people with their suitcases coming and going. It operates as a lobby so people rest before checking in, the noise level is high for an afternoon tea venue. The service (Thank You Manny) was amazing but having three dim sum pieces, one cracker with pecking duck, three sweets and a black sesame cracker with clotted cream or lemon curd cream for $150 before service charge and tax is stratospherically expensive! Even after you include one flute of champagne from a medium-tier brand. Do not even dare to ask to substitute that brand with a better one, they will want to charge you for the entire bottle! Quite honestly, if it wasn't for Manny whose service was impeccable I would have left quite unhappy, instead I just suggest you do not waste money for an experience that is just not on-pair with what they charge. Btw, The Ritz and The Savoy charge less for afternoon tea and that is the irony of this!
I'm sorry to report that we had a disappointing experience at Astra. The reviews were very good, and the restaurant was convenient to the Moscone Center where we were visiting for a convention. The restaurant is high end in a high end hotel with prices to match, and for that we expected much better. Although the menu was limited, we were able to find things on the menu that seemed attractive. There were no specials. Some of our orders were quite good. The persimmon and kale salads were excellent, but one of the salads was left off of our order. The salad arrived but as a result our entrees were delayed. Short ribs arrived cold on a cold plate. Potatoes were oversalted. Black cod was adequate and salmon was overcooked despite being ordered medium rare. We ordered a side of asparagus which was delivered along with the salads to our surprise. However, we must remark that the wine list was wildly overpriced. We know some of the wines on the list and they were being offered at many multiples of their retail price. It should be possible to order a bottle of wine that is less than twice the price of the entrees. We didn't investigate corkage fees, but we would recommend that anyone who wants wine with their meal to bring their own bottle. Let me point out that the restaurant staff was attentive and polite, and when we pointed out the difficulties with the cold short rib entree, they removed it from the bill. We appreciated that, but had to mention it in this review. I am prepared to believe that on a Wednesday the restaurant had an off-night, but I hope the management will pay attention to our concerns here, and most definitely revise the overpriced wine list.
Came in with my fiancé and a friend earlier this week for high tea and it was the most disappointing high tea experience I’ve had. We were seated promptly for our reservation after starting off with a cocktail at the bar while we waited for our friend to arrive. Once we were seated, the waitress dropped off the tea selection. From there on it went downhill. We waited for about 30 minutes and the waitress had not returned to take our tea selection so my fiancé had to go ask someone if we can get someone to help with our order. She finally makes our way over and takes our tea order. At this point we are starving and also asked about the food. She mentions it has been ready and will bring it out. The food comes out a few minutes later in a beautiful presentation. However, the little sandwiches were terrible and left a lot to be desired. They tasted like deli pre packaged sandwiches. We had to order another main dish as it was not nearly enough for 3 people for the savory options. The desserts were delicious, but not special enough to make it up for it. Overall I wouldn’t recommend. For the price point, I expect the service and quality to be much better.

Never go here for afternoon tea, especially if you're looking forward to a traditional British high tea. The sandwiches were stale and dry. They didn't have a proper teapot for everyone either. Also, the teas to choose from were nothing special. Please save your money and go elsewhere.
St. Regis - the food was presented beautifully. Not only did the food look amazing, but the taste was equally as good as it looked. I have been to a lot of holiday teas at different hotels in the City, but nothing was as good as the tea I had at St. Regis. The service was outstanding as well.
