Our sushi chefs were absolutely amazing. Incredible service and tastes that were out of the world
The Service by all the staff was amazing! Especially with the chef Oscar, the Food was amazing, it was our best dining experience in SFO
It was WAY too dark in there. I couldn't read the menu or even see my food. Service was ok, not very attentive and it took forever to get some water. Food was only ok overall. Rice was dry and the sushi wasn't incredibly fresh. Prices were a bit higher than expected for the quality, service, and ambiance. We enjoyed our meal but I wouldn't clamor to go back for another meal.
Service was really good and food incredible, the recommendations from the staff were really good
Delicious food and the vibe was excellent, the staff was super helpful and knowledgeable for our big party and made us feel so welcome. Service was also fast and efficient
Overall really good food. Enjoyed the Omakase with the wine pairing. The only issue is that some of the dishes just seemed to be more flash than substance. For example, one dish had gold flakes on it. Gold has no flavour, not good to consume, and does not add anything to the dish. So while I'd go back to Pabu in a heartbeat, I'm not sure I'd have the omakase again.
We were greeted warmly and taken to our table immediately. Our server Fei was wonderful all night. My guests had never been to Pabu before, and they were very impressed with the cuisine. We will be back again soon!
My husband and I came here for a date night and it was an excellent experience! The food was phenomenal and service was amazing. We highly recommend this place ave definitely will be back!
Incredible service and delicious dishes! Will definitely go back for special occasions and business dinners.
This is amazing Restaurant I feel the price is a little bit high but the ambience and Services impeccable love that place. I will always be back and I do recommend if you wanna celebrate your birthday. There's many dishes. You're incredible and the drinks are always perfect.

Went there for happy hour today to catch up with one of my friends and the food and service were amazing as always! We sat in Sergio's section, and he is super attentive and provided excellent service. Thank you to Bobby, the GM, and his team for being extremely hospitable and checking on us as we enjoyed the food. Definitely my fave Japanese place in the city!!!
We asked to avoid anything spicy, but one of the sushi rolls came with a spicy sauce and was topped with chili peppers — a very unpleasant surprise. I also asked for a sushi recommendation, and although a specific fish sushi was highly promoted, it was never served. The chicken leg in the ramen was disappointing — it was mostly bone with skin, as if the meat had been removed. The seating was also very uncomfortable; I felt like a chicken on a perch. Though we didn't move, others might want to switch to a regular table. Dirty dishes sat on our table for a long time despite several servers passing by. Overall, the service lacked attention to detail.
Overpriced food that tasted just okay. Nothing special. Their service was excellent though.
I am a regular at Pabu Izakaya usually for Happy Hour and dinner. Recently, I started dining outdoors in the patio area with my pups and it's been great joy! Edgar was my waiter today and he and manager Kelly treated them like VIP (very important pup). Thank you for the watermelon slices! We will be back! Hopefully I can try happy hour with the dogs in the patio (not sure if it's allowed). Food is always spot on and delicious!
Pleasant experience was had by all in attendance (group of 10). Service was great, food was great, all around it was a very good experience.
