I definitely didn’t feel like they were properly staffed. I had to wait far too long to get some very simple drinks. And when the drinks arrived they did not offer to clear .our already cramped table, of empty dishes. The chorizo mussels were good, but nothing special. Had a few to many unopened mussels. The lobster ravioli was very bland. Although the grilled shrimp it was toppedWith was amazing.and I have definitely had much healthier looking oysters in plenty of other places in SF. Honestly for the price point it really didn’t feel worth it.

Super rude turned us away and many others with no reason

The burger meat has a very delicious barbecue-like flavor. The food feels fresh. I didn't like it, just that the service is like they rush you to eat, pay and that's it.

Below average food but good service, the managers(?) were loudly dragging chairs around the patio to rearrange instead of lifting them… won’t be back

So I called the ATwater tavern around 4:00 yesterday to reserve a four top for after the Cirque show that ended around 6:45. The gentleman who answered the phone said as long as got there before 7 it wasn’t necessary. When I arrived with my guests at 6:45 the hostess asked me if I had a reservation and I explained what happened. She informed me that she was the manager and asked who I spoke to and I told her I didn’t remember. The place was empty and I should have walked out for her rudeness and impertinence but I was hungry. The woman couldn’t keep her mouth shut and told me in the future leave my name! I won’t return food passable, atmosphere, average, service sucked!

Great hang-out spot near the stadium and Chase Center. If you're going to go to the ballgame or concert use this place as your meat or after-event social area you'll have a good time and be very close to your venue.

It’s okay, if you can stomach $15 for a basket of fries. Good selection of beers and cocktails are enticing. The best part about the place is $1 oysters for happy hour each day between 2-5PM.Kid-friendliness: Kids welcome if they can sit still

Classic tavern with very good food and service. Great ambience. We had several items off the brunch menu and went family style. Everything was tasty and well prepared. Really nice staff.

We looked at the menu and the Paella and Salmon looked really good. There are two things that every Paella must have. One is a good Sofrito and a crust on the bottom of the rice. Of course, it should also be flavorful. None of these things made it into the Paella. The rice was very soggy and no crust on the bottom; the Sofrito was uninspired and lacked flavor. There was a large amount of seafood (part of the reason this is 3 stars) but it was unevenly cooked. The salmon for the other plate was also unevenly cooked with most of it being overcooked. The service was decent, which is the other part of the 3 stars. The ambiance was cool but nothing really special. Maybe upstairs would have been better.
