They were out of basically half of their menu, including the 2 things I wanted to try (the spiced cold brew and the bone broth). No matter, I put together a decent order. Then we waited over 30 minutes. There was only one other person in the place. They gave us the tvorag parfait first, half of which was inedible because the buckwheat granola was so hard it could crack teeth. Then they mixed up our order with the only other table in the place (how‽) so we waited longer. The cutlet was oversalted, the potatoes somehow completely under salted and bland. The duck rye pancake was decent though. Don't know how this place will stay in business. These other reviews are also highly suspect.

I wanted to love this place. The menu and existing reviews hooked me, but the experience fell flat. First, the business hours on google and on their door are incorrect. I’m not sure when they’re actually open, but I’ve stopped by 3 different times, including a Friday night, to shuttered doors. Finally this weekend we saw they were open and stopped for brunch. The vegetarian rye pancake was great! The flavors were unique and tasty! The other breakfast plate was average. The coffees were watery and bad. We couldn’t order the plates that we wanted because they seemed to be out of a lot of ingredients. I really wanted to try the zang, which appears all over the menu, but they did not have any. I was disappointed with the execution of what seems like a great idea.

I definitely recommend this place because of the great original taste and quality of the tatar national cusine!
I'm originally from Kazan, Tartarstan Republic, and the the food serving here, remind me about my homeland and my grandmother's home-made pastries. 😌💛
Don't pass and check AyDea's amazing ochpochmak serving with broth and salad; pelmeni, and herbal tea! We'll definitely taste other delicious tatar food here next time!
Thank you for the warm welcoming us here and your care about guests by the people who work here and who appreciate snd love Tatar cuisine and culture.❤️
*Children tatar books were a special surprise to remember reading on tatar language!
🅿️ We found 2 city public parkings marked with blue signs on the street: on the same intersection and 3 block away, cheap and close to the cafe.

It’s the only Tatar restaurant in the entire United States, offering truly delicious and authentic Tatar food. Every dish — from chak-chak to echpochmak — is made with love and care, just like at home.

The atmosphere is incredibly warm and welcoming — this is a place where you can truly feel at home. Huge thanks to the owners and chefs for preserving Tatar culture and sharing it with America!

Tried going here yesterday but the hours are incorrect on both Google Maps and the restaurant’s own webpage (Thursday - Sunday 11:30 AM - 8 PM). Yelp is also wrong if what’s written on the windows is correct - Friday through Sunday, with varying hours. Please sort this out.

This place is such a gem! Real food, no seed oils, lovely family owned spot, incredibly delicious and fresh food.

I had the borscht and added pelmeni, then tried their peremyach which is kind of like a fried dumpling with beef inside.

They make their own hot sauce which was unreal, the owner is a husband and wife from Mexico City and Tartastan so he made something that resembles a salsa with a lovely bite.

I ended with a cup of sea buckthorn tea which I hadn’t heard of but they apparently import it, they walk you through everything which I really appreciated.

Don’t think twice! Highly recommend coming

I stopped in because I was curious about Tatar food and had a lovely informative chat about the cuisine with the friendly owner. Based on his recommendation I tried a takeout order of the qistibi potato pancake with halal beef. At home we all enjoyed this tasty comforting stuffed pancake with the light cream cheese topping it came with in a separate container. I also enjoyed the herby salad greens with delicious homemade dressing. I’d come back to try more dishes in the soothingly decorated clean inviting restaurant.

Came here around 1pm on Friday but they were closed. Would be great if they could update their hours.
