The food at Aziza was fantastic - every dish was beautifully prepared and absolutely delicious. However, our waiter was very pushy about ordering more dishes than we needed. We ended up with way too much food because we trusted his recommendations. Great cuisine, but be mindful of portion suggestions from the staff.
The restaurant was very loud, and it was very difficult to hear our server, not to mention each other.! The food was excellent - we shared several vegetarian dishes that we enjoyed, however, the one non vegetarian dish we had (the octopus) was pungent and tough. Unfortunately, our server didn't check back with us to ensure we were satisfied with our selections. Even so, our experience was overall good, but with more attentive service, it could have been great.
WE went there to celebrate our anniversary and we had a lovely dinner! The wines by the glass selection was great and the food and service was outstanding. We love Chef Mourad and how he recreated Aziza. Foods we ordered: The trio dip with sumac flatbread - a MUST! Prawn appetizer and cauliflower were outstanding. Chicken Basteeya was really good. Its a sweet-savory combination in a Phyllo dough casing. The Date cake is a must..not too sweet with salted caramel sauce and Vanilla...
