The 1/4 pound burger was excellent. It was served on fresh sesame seed bun with a wide assortment of toppings. The French Fries were the best I've had in years, crispy outsides and soft inside. B & J is unique and reminiscent of old San Francisco! Highly recommended.

I come to this restaurant often. Sometimes they have their good days and some I'm guessing are bad. The food is good. However, I don't like the fact that one of the ladies who works the cash register Sometimes has a bad attitude and it affects the quality of the food at that time and the service that customers receive. She acts like as if she doesn't want to be there or is upset that people are coming in to place orders. It's unacceptable!!

OLD SCHOOL FOOD!!! If you are looking for delicious ? food that is full of all the things that taste good and come with yummy guilt, this is the right place! Old style diner/ dive. I had breakfast 3 eggs, sausage patties, bacon GRiTS with butter, and white toast. Sausage patties were not like Mc D'S flat and semi tasteless. These were just right. My co-worker had a big burger, which I take is normal size for this place. Take a chance to feed your guilt and let the taste buds love you for a day!

Flies on the counter not clean took very long to get the food. Homeless people coming in and out service wasn't all that great and service woman was very religerant with Homeless person and home obviously lives in the neighborhood. Just wasn't a good experience.
Absolutely disgusting! Against my better judgment, I decided to eat here because I only had a few minutes for lunch. I stepped inside and it was grimey and dirty af!!! The set up is strange as hell because you have to order over the counter but there's also people sitting and dining there. The food was also disgusting. The burger was dripping with oil, and within a few seconds, the lettuce had withered away and the bread all soggy from all the oil. The kitchen is visible in the room, and it looked like the meat was not kept in safe, chilled storage areas. Straight up garbage place and I don't say that often! Wish I took a better look at the reviews first :(

Found this place while one night stealth camping down the street. What a wonderful greasy spoon. So fun to watch all the work and the loudness of the counter. It’s amazingly fun and clean. Just stare at the greasy spoon channel while you eat your 11 dollar (including tax and coffee) breakfast. Neighborhoods like this are part of the gem collection of San Francisco.

Don't ever eat here! ROACHES!!!!! I was ordering and there's no order in which they take orders. The customer service was bad. I saw a roach crawling into the oven I swear I've never been so disgusted in my life I'll never eat here again.
