Overall a wonderful dining experience for the first sit down until we left The food flavors are outstanding. The restaurant decor especially in the back patio is fun refreshing and timeless. Definitely someplace to return.
Cute place with great food! Highly recommend the tea leaf salad, samusa soup, and salmon ochazuke. They were incredible. The service was good but seemed to be a little chaotic. At times it was slow and things went awry (dish slow to arrive then sesame seeds added when we specifically asked to NOT put them on, fork removed/not returned, no knife, etc.) Overall, it was a good night though.
I absolutely love the menu concept at B Star, but I was a little disappointed by the execution. The fiery cauliflower was fried perfectly but was drowned in sauce that was much more sweet than fiery. Both the tea leaf salad and the khao soi chicken were lackluster in flavor and I've had better at other places. The chicken jook was ok, but the chicken itself felt like it came out of a package and the “Chinese donut” it was served with was basically just bread. It was decent...
