Valentine's Day dinner with bae. So we made reservations at Bagatella we still had a wait even though we got there prior to our reservations. It was packed and. Due to it being another cold wet night in SF outside seating wasn't an option for most. So we ended up finally being seated in the back booth lucky us cause in the front it's a bit tight on the seatings especially on the left side. I'm not going complain. Like I said we got a booth our server was Great pleasant and inviting. For V day they had prefix menu We got the heirloom tomatoes and crab cakes. The crab cakes were perfectly crispy on the outsides and delicious and moist on the inside. The heirloom tomatoes and the fresh mozzarella drizzled with the balsamic we also both enjoyed the lightness and freshness of the dish. For our main course we both picked the lamb shank on a bed of risotto. The lamb was fork tender already deboned in a delicious sauce reduction. The risotto was definitely the star of this dish though creamy seasoned buttery and al dente. For dessert we chose the bread pudding and key lime pie. The custard filling on the key like was velvety smooth sweet and tart all at the same time. The bread pudding wasn't your typical bread pudding. It tasted more like cake then just bread and topping it off with that vanilla ice cream was a great job. Overall we both enjoyed our experience here. The lemon drop martini yes yes

SOOOO GOOD! Underrated new restaurant that's going to get so popular soon so stop by asap! The brunch was delicious and I can't wait to come again for dinner!

Food was below mediocre, service was poor. They messed up both of our entrees 2x and had to remake them - even on the final one, my "rare" steak was cooked medium at best. We didn't eat the undercooked calamari, and felt sick after. Dessert was good at least. Here's the kicker: they came by and said that to apologize for the entree issues, they wanted to give us a free dessert. Sure! But when they took our dessert order, we asked which of two was better. They said "we're bringing you both - on us!" The bill came and lo and behold they charged us for 1 dessert. When we asked they said "oh we said one was complementary."

I've heard about this new place from my friends, surprisingly his feedback was much better than the experience that I had last night, first of all the hostess was so rude and showing attitude, secondly it took too long for servers to come and take order, we have asked a couple times to get water first to the table which we got later on together with food. The food was okay appetizers are all delicious, but we had waited too long to get our entrees which came cold where I asked them to change the plate or to do something but the attitude that I got back was terribly unpleasant. Overall, the spot is beautiful. Food is okay, but you guys need to teach your stuff how to serve people. So I'm never going to visit this place again and not going to recommend any of my friends.

Service was attentive, ambiance was great, really romantic and intimate, food was delicious and the drinks were stellar. Would recommend a wine cocktail if you've never had one.

I was optimistic about this place, based on the menu and location (I live 2 blocks away) but this was a terrible first experience. I ordered the "panzenella" salad and added chicken for $22 total. What I got is definitely *not* a panzanella salad - which is typically a bread based salad. It's also most definitely not worth $22. It's more of a mixed greens side salad with rock hard croutons (store bought?) and ~1/2 chicken breast on top. I called the restaurant after to give them a chance to fix the mistake, but they assured me - no, I got the right thing. For the right price. Won't be back.

This was the worst and most unorthodox reservation experience I have ever had. I made a reservation for six people on a Friday night because when you have that many people of course you need a reservation on a Friday. We all arrived at the restaurant and we were told that because I didn't confirm the reservation for a second time that they could only give me a table for under an hour. I went into Yelp and showed him that the reservation was in green and it said it was confirmed. He proceeded to show me his system and said that I have to double confirm, and it turns green on his iPad. However, there were quite a few reservations on the iPad That were not green. It is also impossible to eat with six people under an hour. I had a service dog with me which I notated in the notes. I'm not sure if that is why or they wanted to give the table to a larger party for a bigger check. No one ever confirms a reservation twice. It's not a thing.

Went to Bagatella for a surprise birthday dinner and the staff was super accommodating! We were able to make a reservation for 9 online which was great. Food was delicious and very affordable, along with the drink/wine menu. Servers were great and very friendly, I'd definitely go back!

Beautiful ambiance and delicious Italian dishes. We were very excited to hear about this new sexy establishment in our neighborhood. What a beautiful place for date night. Food: was simple and beautiful! I got the spaghetti and meatballs and it was comfort food with a fancy presentation :) solid pasta! It's my new go to for feel good Italian food Alcohol: only wine. Which I'm happy with :) no full bar. Parking: street parking or there's a parking garage down the next block. Service was great the night we went but I've heard that Friday and Saturday the service is a bit slower cause there's just so many customers and not enough staff. High recommend reservations those night. Otherwise walk ins are easy!
