Absolutely the best bagesl in San Francisco and probably best on West Coast. I think better even then most bagel shops in New York (or anywhere else). I am not joking and I've been eating bagels all my life.

so disappointed ! We were travelling from LA and The Baglery is always on our stop point for my other half who used to live nearby but when we got to the shop at 9.55am it was all closed up ? Weird ? Maybe they just ran out of Bagels early or is there something else happening ? There was a sign in the window saying 'look out for something exciting' ! What was NOT exciting was missing out on our Lox and Bagel !

Stale bagel with a paltry amount of cream cheese. Disappointing. Look elsewhere.

The first bagel I’ve ever had that made me wish it had a larger hole in the center so that I would have less of it.This was not a bagel, this was not a sandwich, this was a criminal offense. The worst Mc Donalds Bagel sandwich in the world, complete with stale bagel-shaped bread, and congealed hollandaise-esque sauce would deserve a Michelin star next to this shade of an attempt at “breakfast”. At least they would have pride enough in their good work to serve it warm, melt the cheese, and charge less than 8 dollars. The sheer gall that this establishment has to call themselves “the bagelry” instead of the “leftovers from the airport cafe-ry” makes me wish I could make this review Bagel shaped.0/5 stars

Our order was messed up, the owner/manager made things right. The bagel that we did get, was enjoyed.

First of all I'm sorry because I hate the idea of leaving a bad review to a small business but this is out of control. (Also I've only wrote 2 reviews in my entire life so I'm not the kind of guy to fo that for no reasons) but this is by far the worst bagel I've ever had. The ladies working were really nice, nothing wrong with the service. But the owner: ''buddy, half of the ingredients are missing, bagels are stale and you cannot be closing 45min earlier than the closing time on a daily basis.. or change the hours..It seems like you have given up on this place which is sad because its one of the only few places that's affordable and still somehow authentic in this gentrified neighborhood.

Years ago this was a good bagel shop; too bad the new owners ruined it. The bagels are Safeway-quality & the breakfast sandwich came lukewarm, w/ cold watery ham & plastic cheese.

Very solid bagels! Don't go in expecting full Brooklyn quality, but this is a really great neighborhood bagel spot. Breakfast sandwiches, cream cheese, etc are all really nice, and it's ready quickly.

A Surprising Delight at The BagelryI had dropped my car off for service and was strolling around, trying to pass the time, when I spotted the sign for The Bagelry across the street. It piqued my interest because, as a former New Yorker, I'd always been a bit of a bagel snob! So, I decided to mosey on over and take a peek. I must confess, the place looked a tad run-down now, which was a shame because what happened next was totally unexpected!I ordered a toasted blueberry bagel slathered with strawberry cream cheese spread. Let me tell you, folks, it was scrumptious! It was so delectable that I couldn't bear the thought of savoring it by itself after just one bite. I dashed across the street, grabbed a steaming cup of coffee, and relished every remaining crumb!I came across some older photos of this joint on Yelp, and they portrayed a much more inviting and well-kept establishment. I can't fathom what might've transpired over time, but I can unequivocally vouch for the sheer deliciousness of the bagel I sampled and its divine spread.

I'm over my Yelp era but I couldn't help but leave a review because I'm shocked to see such a low rating here. This is the best BEC in the city. I'm a transplant from the east coast and finding a good breakfast sandwich here has been a feat. They have a perfectly fried egg with crispy edges, crispy bacon, and very decent bagels. The only place even somewhat comparable is Schlock's but they don't have the basics and no bacon. Oh and they're like double the price. Bagelry is the spot if you want a delicious and cheap breakfast sammy. And to the dude (and others) crying about the interior... this obviously isn't the place for you. Plenty of places with ambiance and mediocre overpriced breakfast foods. This ain't it, boo.

Lots of options (bagels & cream cheese), quick service, cheap, everything is great! My breakfast was delicious (cinnamon raisin bagel with date walnut cream cheese)

I hate to write this because I know how small business struggle but it seems like the owner has given up on this place. This place seems straight out of Kitchen Nightmares. There was broken equipment out front. I should have walked out once I had a chance to look around. The place is so dirty and run down. Needs paint, or even a Basic restaurant cleaning. The display case where they keep the bagels was dirty inside! The bagels we ordered were both stale, and the veggie bagel my wife ordered had the wrong toppings on it as well. I'd avoid at all costs.
