I am sad to see Barbacco go! ? The chicken cacciatore was flavorful, and just the right amount of portion. The staff is attentive but not intrusive. They know their craft very well. Best of luck to everyone, and to Umberto, on their next journey.

This has been a go-to place for us for many years; corporate dinner, out of town guests, and so on. We miss the olive ascolane! We'll miss Barbacco even more. Thanks for the memories.

Appetizers, entrees and wine were all delicious. The wine list was a little expensive, but the wine was good so it wasn't an issue. The overall noise level was a little high, right on the edge of being able to easily hear the person sitting with you without shouting.

Broccoli was over sauced and over cooked. Pasta wasn’t as good as it usually is. Server was lazy and non attentive. This used to be a good place to eat with great food and service. You’d think with SF struggling, they’d pick up their game. Not the case when we were there. I haven’t been to this restaurant in a year or so. I’m not looking to come back anytime soon.

Not good value. Server didn't feel as if she cared about anything with re our dining experience Food was dropped with no explanation- (not by our waiter) On the OpenTable app I said we were celebrating my friend's 60th birthday. When the dessert was delivered I had to ask for a candle. I won't go back - judging by the lack of diners others seem to know what I learned- experience was lacklustre and expensive. The sister restaurant Perbacco was hopping'

My bf and I visited for lunch. No wait because we chose to sit at the bar.To start, we shared the Fennel and Citrus Salad. It was fine, but not a hearty salad by any means. More fennel and citrus than arugula. For some, it might be underwhelming.I ordered the Bucatini All' Amatriciana because I heard their pasta was made fresh. Loved. The sauce was amazing and the pasta was the perfect texture. My bf got the Fried Chicken Sandwich for the truffle honey aioli. It was good but it lacked a kick to it. But it came with a side salad. For $17 in SF, we'd say it's worth it.Service was nice. Ambience was on-brand for an establishment surrounded by corporate businesses.

The atmosphere was great and people were super friendly. Great date vibe, but definitely very pricy. I had a small piece of fish and I’m not sure if it was worth $30, but the ambience was wonderful and the staff were extremely attentive! I would try something else if I came back.

Overall, Adequate. Short staffed. Or just inattentive waiter. And no other supporting service (plates were not cleared etc). Food good not great. Prices reasonable Noise level ok. But wasnt that crowded

Went to Barbacco for SF restaurant week and really enjoyed our food and portion sizes. We had a reservation but we're still seated at the bar- (definitely would've preferred a table). The food was unique and delicious, the chefs adding fun twists to make the meal special. My partner got a glass of white wine and was offered to taste a couple to decide. The one they chose was perfect and exactly what they were looking for. Would only go back if I was in the neighborhood

Had the spicy pork meatballs and the parpadella pasta both of which were great. The atmosphere is very nice and the service top notch. The wines by the glass are perfect and the prices are quite reasonable for a big city. We had a great time and will be back.
