Honest, quality food and charming service is what we’ve found during our 8 visits at this new addition to the noe valley scene. Consistently good with their chicken options, starters and yes, some misses with the steak that were promptly corrected with grace. Thanks for having us team!

The air conditioning doesn’t work on a super hot day while they don’t have brunch option that was listed on their website. Poor management and communication.

Absolutely adore this place. There have been 0 misses in the 5-6 times we’ve been here. Everything is so balanced and delicious, and while the menu is quite standard and classic, there is some occasional flair and creativity in the menu. My only complaint is that they discontinued their brunch menu! Please come support this place, the food, service, and ambiance are all amazing.

Excellent ambience, food, friendly and attentive staff.
We had a wonderful experience at bistro ember. This is a real gem. We received a warm welcome from the host. He gave us excellent suggestions regarding menu favorites. Everything was delicious. Although this was our first visit, we felt and were treated as if we were regulars. We were celebrating two special occasions, and we were even treated to a delicious dessert on the house. The wonderful food and the warm welcoming by the staff made this a very special evening.
I do not mean to say that the service was not good, just that they seem to be really short staffed for as popular as the restaurant seems to be. They are very accommodating and pleasant and the food is always really good with extremely reasonable portions for the price.
Wonderful as always! What a Noe Valley treasure. The friends we bring, always enjoy dining here. We also appreciate the variety on the menu and the chef's flexibility if a dietary need has to be accommodated.
We were happy to find this comfy Turkish establishment open on a Sunday afternoon. The food while good needs some work, haven’t seen roasted baby carrots in a long time and hope not too again. The duck spring rolls and artichoke beignet lacked flavor. Lamb should dumplings were the highlight. And why green beans on two of the appetizer plates?

Second time visit for us. Love the ambiance: the place is intimate and warm and the noise generally low (though a large party next to you can ruin any restaurant's ambiance). The food is consistently good without ever being great. While I admit to preferring spicier dishes and Ember tends toward the mild, once maybe wants a bit more ‘exotic' in a cuisine from this part of the world. There will be a third visit for us and maybe more, as I appreciate consistently good food and we haven't yet tried everything on the menu (which changes). The kitchen can get a bit flustered; my wife got her entree and we had to chase my own after a more-than-reasonable wait. The maitre'd apologized profusely and served us a free desert (which was the highlight of the evening btw) but still, they've been open long enough to avoid such mishaps.
Charming, elegant, delicious!
This was a lovely little restaurant, so glad we found it. The staff was friendly and inviting, and the food was delicious. The artichoke beignets were great, fluffy artichoke inside with a nice crispy outer layer. The lamb chops were moist and tasty with fresh mixed vegetables. The Penne Pasta was smothered in a wonderful vodka cream sauce. We would definitely visit again.
The waiter was nice enough, but we were waiting a good amount of time to even get a drink order (about 15-20 minutes). The restaurant wasn't packed either. We had to get in our full order before he left otherwise it would have taken way too long. I had the steak. For that price I expected something better in quality. It was super thing, had lots of gristle, and was dry. I came with a side salad and fries. Everything was bland and under-salted. The babaganoush was good. I'd skip this restaurant. It's pretty, but that's just about it.
