Blue Front Cafe is a hidden gem in the Haight. I have been coming here for years and they have been here for over 30 years. Their food is authentic and amazing. I highly recommend them!!!
Got a beef gyros plate and piece of baklava -- both made for a satisfying meal, and they gave a pleasant surprise to my palate. Everything had the right amount of seasoning, spice, sweetness, and flavor. The beef gyros was nicely tender, juicy, and had the right amount of warmth that let me know it was freshly cooked.Person taking my order respectfully answered my questions about the different baklava on display, giving me knowledge about this kind of food.

I worked on Haight street in the 1990's and would frequent this cafe almost daily! They had the BEST hummus and Babaganoush and lentils and rice! Next time I'm in San Francisco I'm making the trip to Haight just to eat here again! So amazing!
