This is a long overdue review for one of my favorite wine bars in the city. Wonderful relaxed ambiance, great list of comprehensive yet approachable wines by the glass, and exceptional service. Special shoutout to Jason who is always so kind and accommodating :)

Wtf! 1! I love this place . I don't want to see another Castro business shutter . I came in the other day after spent some time with a friend who just lost his sister to suicide. I asked for a bottle Sancer. Jason M abruptly said I don't a selection. No assistance with any other variety. I made a selection . The servers brought me a bottle not what I ordered . He didn't present the wine ! I ordered a cheese board . The server basically ignored me !! He was too busy on his. Phone . I decided I didn't feel welcomed. I asked to pack the food and the wine to go . I paid my bill and left zero tip . I could tell Jason M was in his own world. I took a picture of my card and the signed totaled credit card slipAnd my Amex platinum card . Today I noticed Jason M decided to give himself a $10 tip . So I had to spend 45 minutes calling Amex to dispute the tip Jason M decided he wanted to give himself.
Reserved a space for 12 people for a birthday celebration via email, overall very welcoming and easygoing. No minimum purchase per person was required, which was nice because not everyone in our group was planning to drink. We were charged an automatic 18% large party gratuity.We ordered a bottle of red wine that was more smoky and dry and a bottle of the pride rosé which was a lot lighter and sweeter. With both bottles, we were able to accommodate different people's wine preferences which was nice. The atmosphere was lovely, not too loud and overall very friendly and welcoming wine bar. Thank you for a great time!

Can't wait to go back! I tried Blush for the first time this past weekend, and it was truly such a pleasant experience--exactly what I'd want from a wine bar. Jason was incredible knowledgeable and friendly! You can tell he has a lot of experience dealing with wine (and people!), and he'll make you feel totally at home. I loved the cozy vibes of Blush, and the wide array of wines you can try is more than you could ever want. Blush has undoubtedly been added to my list of regular haunts.

If you’re not white or look a certain way, DO NOT expect to be acknowledged, seen, etc. I went there with a girlfriend who enjoys drinking wine, and I tried to get me and my girlfriend a glass of wine, and even though I stood in front of an empty bar, I was completely ignored by the staff there. I walked out and took my business elsewhere. Gross customer service experience
