Without hyperbole, Braid Bakery makes the best babka I’ve had in my life. It’s freshly made to your order, it’s light, it’s soft, it’s just a delightful loaf. I recommend the cinnamon and walnut one, but they also have chocolate.They also have weekly Friday loafs, which are so light, but also hearty. The loaf is covered is a variety of interesting toppings that I’ve never had atop a challah before, but are certainly additive.To order from Braid, you need to go online at least one day ahead; you’ll be picking it up from basically just a house, but there’s some signage. The babka loaf is worth the (light) hassle, I promise!

I am feel spoiled that there are so many incredible bakeries popping up in the outer sunset! Braid bakery is a must try. I got their savory babka and Madeleine. This is the first time I've had a freshly made Madeline, and it was so refreshing, light, and wonderfully lemony! I'm just waiting for their next pop-up to have it again. The savory babka was also good, and tasted like pizza. All the food comes quick and the line moves fast. I can't wait to try more of their items next time!
