đŸ€Ż Biscuits are better than Khanfectionary in the Mission. The jalapeño biscuit for the breakfast sandwich was delicious and comes with a nice arugula side salad.

đŸ„š We also had the huevos on crispy little tortillas. Very good, especially with the chipotle sauce on the side.

☕ pour over coffe was also lovely

đŸ„° the owner stopped by our table to check on us and she is a delight. She spent about a decade in Berlin, Germany, and brings some international flair to the cafĂ© menu, ambience, and playlist.

đŸ€€ the everything biscuit, the apple pie biscuit, and the Matcha strawberry biscuit are also worth trying. I personally like the everything biscuit the best, but if you want something a bit more sweet go for the 🍎apple pie biscuit, and if you want a lot more sweet (think bear claw level sweet) then go for the Matcha strawberry option. You better grab a coffee with that one though ‘cause it is SWEET.

đŸ›‹ïž the place has eclectic seating, with a couple of couches a few two top tables and a few four top tables. Great to pop in on your own, or with a few friends.

We have lived in the neighborhood for 3 years and finally stopped by for my birthday. I feel sad that I missed out on this place for 3 years! We ordered the signature breakfast sandwich and huevos ranchero-like dish. I love the creativity and spin that the owner and chef put on the dishes.

The biscuits were delicious! They had 2 sweet ones and 2 savory ones. I preferred the savory ones- jalapeño cheddar and the everything biscuit. They taste a bit richer and complex, compared to ones I have tried from other places.

I am pleasantly delighted that the menu is so diverse- dishes ranged from burgers to chicken curry to biscuits. I will be back to try the other dishes.

What a cute gem of a cafe to hang and work at! The vibes and atmosphere of this place is just so homey, and we were greeted and welcomed by such a warm soul in Yassy. The bowl was hearty and homey, drinks were cozy, and the cookies were such a delight. Thank you!!

so happy to find a halal cafe serving such unique dishes and well crafted coffee. i got the halal spam and egg breakfast and every bite was fantastic. the halal turkey spam was sautéed and seasoned perfectly and balanced well with the house sauce, soft egg scramble and side beets/avocado.

i'm also usually not a fan of fruit lattes but cafe da fonk has perfected the balance in their rose and fruit latte. not too sweet and just the right notes to taste the coffee. also got to try a sip of the chagachino and it was great too!

lots of seating, natural light, vibey music, local art. would be a good spot to work!

will be coming back here again :)

⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐
Incredible Halal Food & Amazing Vibes at Café Da Fonk!

I recently discovered CafĂ© Da Fonk, and it’s quickly become my go-to spot for both breakfast and lunch in San Francisco. The food is 100% halal and the menu has such a great variety—you can really taste the care that goes into every dish. I had the Khadija’s Veggie Dream Bowl for lunch, and it was packed with flavor and super fresh! For breakfast, their Yazzy’s Jazzy Spicy Eggy Muffin is a must-try, especially if you love something with a kick.

Not only is the food delicious, but the cafĂ© itself has such a welcoming and funky vibe. Whether I’m grabbing coffee or sitting down for a quick meal, the service is always friendly things may take awhile since they make everything to order. Plus, their Chaga-chino is hands down the best coffee drink I’ve had in the city.

If you're looking for authentic halal food with a creative twist, I highly recommend checking out CafĂ© Da Fonk. It's also perfect for online orders and delivery—everything arrives fresh and well-packed. A true hidden gem in Potrero Hill, SF

This place is a gem! The food is delicious and the coffee is spectacular. We got a Lotties sandwich and a halal spam breakfast bowl, chuggacino and pour over coffee. Everything was made and delivered with care and super tasty. The staff is incredibly kind, wonderful experience overall.

Damn good breakfast sandwich, and great, friendly service. Not like most SF places where they make you feel like you are an inconvenience simply by walking in. Funky music. Easy parking in dedicated lot. Abundant surfaces ideal for many different work configurations. I can't believe this funky house isn't swarmed with people all the time.

We came here after trying to find a halal spot for breakfast on our last day in the city and wow! The Zadie's breakfast sandwich, Big Ralfie's supreme breakfast, tea, chocolate croissants and cookies were excellent, and the owner Yasmin was incredibly kind and attentive. On top of that, the space is very inviting, with cool art, plants, sofas and ample table seating. My only regret is that I'm not local so I can't eat here more often!

I've been visiting in the bay area for two weeks and this is definitely the best breakfast/lunch I had, hands down.

We had the Zadie's breakfast sandwich, Big Ralfie's sujuk supreme breakfast, honey lavender black tea, and a chocolate chip cookie.

The food was fresh and well-made, the staff was super kind, and the cafe's vibe is immaculate.

This kind of local run shop is the reason I love visiting cities. It's so great to see a halal and black-woman owned place like this. I'll definitely be visiting again my next time in the area.

10/10.
