Pop in here while exploring Japan Town. There is quite a varied menu but we went for the Sparkling Strawberry Drink. It was delicious and so refreshing. Service was quick and prices reasonable. There a a few tables that you can sit at.
The takoyaki is served hot and tastes amazing. I’m not Japanese so I don’t know if it’s authentic, but it tastes really good. I highly recommend!
0 stars for drink. 1 star for service - people were nice.I had a black sugar hojicha with oatmilk and boba. I think it came to ~$6 for a regular size (~16oz).It tasted like a black sugar hojicha drink from Boba Guys and diluting it 1:5 with water (1 part boba guys drink, 5 parts water). The boba was about half as good as Boba Guys. I know it's difficult to match what boba guys does, but the price should reflect this if it will be diluted this much. ~$8 for a 24oz drink from Boba Guys.
Was just roaming around Japan Center Malls and Cafe Hana caught our attention because of takoyaki, which was delicious. We also ordered a black sugar jelly latte to wash it down. The latte was good, I got in line after a few sips and ordered another one.
I had the matcha latte because that's what everyone was saying on the Google reviews. I ended up pretty disappointed because there was not that much matcha flavor, it tasted more like milk than anything. I did get a black sesame mochi cake, and that was actually quick delicious.
This place is great! It's by far my favorite place to get Matcha Lattes when exploring Japan Center. They usually run out of boba nearing 5:00 pm though, so make sure you order any boba drinks before then!
You can buy boba tea here. Earl Milk tea is good.
This place has the highest quality tapioca and teas. This is coming from a boba fanatic. I make it a goal to visit as many different boba stores as I can. The tapioca pearls here are soft and sweet all the way to the core and have that perfect gummy center. No toughness, dryness, nor blandness like most other places I’ve been to. I tI struggled to find a favorite boba tea store in SF until I came here. Thai and Taro are my favorite flavors. Today I had their Jasmine green tea and it really hit the spot as well! I can really taste the tea without it being bitter. I have a big sweet tooth and this place satisfies it.
The matcha latte and mochi cakes are amazing! Very soft and chewy inside. I would definitely come back here again.
Nice Cafe. The staff was fantastic and the drinks were great.

Love the Mochi cakes and the matcha lattes here! So good, I have to buy one of each every time! So glad you guys can stay open during the pandemic!
Located in one of the closed area malls in Japantown, this is a fairly popular place which got significant footfall. At the time I placed my order, they were just preparing a new batch of Boba and asked me to wait a few minutes. I complied.I got the strawberry matcha which was nice. It wasn’t made with milk but rather water which is refreshing when it’s warm outside. However I noticed that at the bottom they had canned/candied strawberries and I didn’t really like that. I know that fresh strawberries may be more expensive but maybe then better to not add any strawberries. Also they didn’t ask me how much sugar I wanted and I ended up getting a drink which was soooper sweet. Not nice.
Stopping into Japantown with a bit of time to spend, I noticed Cafe Hana and then got caught up in their flavored drinks, with a blueberry-lychee drink finally capturing my attention, and it turns out that without me ever knowing it, it was just what I needed that day. And I'm grateful.
The black sugar milk tea is especially good! They also make a good espresso.
Great place to grab a quick snack and drink while waiting for the sops to open up. Great service, the wait time wasn't long. Had a green tea and taro mochi cake with a honey yuzu tea. Everytime I go to SF, I go to Cafe Hana.
