The takoyaki was perfectly orthodox takoyaki like in Japan, so it was good. There's something romantic about Americans eating the same taste as Japanese people.Also, when the paper bag I was holding exploded at the counter, they gave me a plastic bag, which was nice.
First time trying out Takoyaki and it was delicious although I didn't eat the octopus, instead I gave that to my wife. Haha. Too bad they don't offer shrimp or some other sea creature. The balls of dough are so flavorful and at first they look crunchy but they are so soft and a bit chewy inside. Be careful though cuz those fluffy balls are nuclear steaming hot inside! I think this is the only place in the city that only has takoyaki on the menu. And they do a great job dishing them out.I’m pretty basic, so my go to is the regular. But it’s a classic! The sauce has a good balance of savory to sweetness. And the dough is a bit crispy on the outside, and soft and chewy on the inside.
