My wife and I return each year on the anniversary of our first meeting at California Wine Merchant. Most recently, the owner Greg, took our photo and gave us a complimentary glass of Champagne to mark the occasion. He’s a great guy and his bar is a great place to meet up with friends, or maybe the love of your life.

The wine selection is impressive, with a variety of options from around the world, including rich reds and sparkling whites. Guests can enjoy a glass of sparkling white wine from Portugal or a rich McManis Petit Syrah from Lodi. The service is friendly and happy to help select wines, making it a low-key, unpretentious wine bar. The host is exceptional at finding well-thought-out selections, even for those new to wine. While indoor seating is limited, the warm and friendly atmosphere, along with the exceptional service and prices, makes it highly recommended. Parking is available nearby if street spots are hard to find.
