I generally do not write reviews, but I had to give a shoutout to Taj Campton Bistro. The Paneer Makhni and Dal Tadka were fabulous, and the drinks were on point. Nothing comes closer to the authentic Indian fine-dine food in the Bay!

Firstly I went thinking this is still a 2 starred Michelin restaurant but was severely disappointed to find out that they had lost their stars due to the chef leaving. That being said I still decided to give the food a shot and ordered the Paneer Makhani with a side of rice. The paneer was tough, chewy and unappetizing. The makhani sauce was not creamy whatsoever and almost tasted as a spicy tomato soup. The whole dish was almost revolting. I had to wait 30 mins for my food to arrive and my server offered me another coke , to which I said no thank you. Then he responded saying oh you know I would’ve given it to you for free right? I found this service to be very unusual and almost rude at a hotel of this scale . Disappointing to say the least.

We were very excited to try this new French Indian restaurant in the city. We had the western Indian food in London, but the restaurant closed a few years ago... We also missed the modern Indian restaurant that closed during the pandemic across the street from SF Opera... We ordered the duck samosa, lentil soup, coconut/crab soup to start, and spicy lamb curry and beef pepper fry for our main dishes. The starters we ordered were very delicious. The main dishes were good, but a bit salty for us. We also shared the coconut pudding for dessert and we liked it was light with flavors. I like the slow speed of food serving, so we could take time to enjoy the food. I would appreciate it if I could order the house made chai here. Can't find it on the menu, although there is chai cocktail.

Frankly I went in expecting a lot more and was completely underwhelmed by the food. It says French influenced Indian food but the food was so ordinary. The tadka dal and Rogan josh and butter chicken had nothing fusion about them and I could get those at any neighborhood Indian restaurants. The starter prawns was the only decent dish. Even the desserts were not impressive: I was very disappointed

Out first time at the restaurant since it reopened with the new chef and decor- we weren't disappointed! Fine dining seems to have largely disappeared in SF, but Bombay Brasserie combined Indian & French cuisine with excellent service. We weren't rushed at all & the staff accommodated a very demanding guest with grace & professionalism. We'll definitely return!

Sometimes, the dishes are trying too hard to have French influence. They turn out confused. “Traditional” Indian dishes tasted way better. Very promising but needs a bit of editing and focus.

Exceptional. The food was excellent. We enjoyed every bite. The service was outstanding. We wanted for nothing and had a lovely time. The duck samosas, butter chicken, scallops, and crab soup were standouts, but everything we ordered for our party of five was delicious, fresh, and beautifully presented. Highly recommend for elegant dinner out.

Had a brilliant experience at Bombay Brasserie. The service team was exceptional and took great care of us. Reminded us of our time in India with their amazing hospitality. The food was outstanding as well. I cannot wait to visit Bombay Brasserie again. Really enjoyed our time at the restaurant.

Loved it here! They had the best Lobster Thermidor I have ever had, so creamy and perfectly cooked. I definitely recommend the espresso martini but my partner had the lemon drop and that was also amazing. It was the staff that really made the experience, they were so kind and ready to help us with any our questions.

We were so excited to try this restaurant and it truly lived up to our expectations. The decor was elegant, which, when combined with the attentive staff, created a welcoming environment. The food was so incredible, I will be thinking about the salmon for a very long time. I already can't wait for my next visit!

Great Food , The service is still trying to get to speed. It was very slow and orders missed. An associate stepped in to help and did a really terrific job!! She and the food saved the evening.

Extremely overpriced, slow and bad. Dont come here for lunch. Took ~50 mins for my $30 burger to arrive.

Really good food. Service was good but the interiors are not that great. It feels like a diner from the 90s with fake plants and really boring ambience. I think the chef did a wonderful job with the food but if I'm going to do something celebratory this isn't going to be the restaurant I would go to. It feels like a hotel restaurant but literally the most boring one.

We chit-chatted with friends we hadn't seen prior to Covid for 3.5 hours and the restaurant let us do that without any problem. John, our server, was everything you love about SF hospitality. The food was really good, especially the crab soup! We would go again and recommend trying out Bombay Brasserie.

The food was very good. The portion size was small for the mains. The waiting time for the servers to approach with the menu and then for the food was very long on a non busy week day. Though the staff was nice and pleasant. There was no restroom within the restaurant. You have to go up to the hotel and then a staff would take you to the restroom on the second floor taking 5 to 10 mins to reach the restroom.
