I hadn't been here in a while, but when an old friend came to town, we had a great visit over tapas and sangria. The flavors of each dish all blended together harmoniously. The mellow vibe, not too dark but very comfortable. And the service was superb: friendly, helpful, professional. Already looking forward to my next visit.
We got there to get some snacks and a drink before going for a movie at the nearby Roxie theater. Really nice selection of Spanish wines. The artichokes, patatas bravado and the cheeses were fantastic. The only minor hiccup was that they offered happy hour specials to the table next to us. We had to ask for it and then they were gracious enough to fix the slip up. Cool cozy spot, great food and wine, and friendly service.
It was pretty good food, and it’s a cute little bar, and it’s small plates style, but I came here when I missed Barcelona, and this is still very definitely an American restaurant, it just serves a lot of Spanish food. It’s good don’t get me wrong, and the fact that they have vermouth in SF is already exceeding my expectations, but it’s not the thing I hoped for.
