I'm a local and I know I shouldn't expect much from any restaurants around Fisherman Wharf. Most of them are normal standards and pricy. Capurro's surprise me. The food is amazing! Since the service is half-served (u order at the front, find a seat that u like, grab water from the water station), I can't tell if it's good or bad. I kinda like it.

The food was fantastic. We had gnocchi and fish tacos. The owner welcomed us in and we had a great chat. The service is top class and great craic ☺️

amazing ambiance, delicious food, incredible, welcoming staff. I could not recommend anything else. Not only is it an incredible restaurant, it is a local San Francisco establishment which has been serving its community for generations. Capurros is an incredible restaurant and I couldn't recommend anything else.

Came in on a San Francisco windy night. Eli and Rob greeted my friend and I kindly and took my order. The delicious hazy IPA quenched my parched lips and warmed me from the chills. I ordered some Bosco Oysters and crab sandwich. Everything was so fresh and filling. Located in the heart of the wharf, this is a must visit destination

I agree with other reviewers, the food looks to be not freshly cooked but warmed up. Salmon is dried out and not juicy. No dressing, just a piece of fish. Sandwiches are a thick sourdough bread, meatballs pretty dry too. Clamchowder is pretty tasty but rather small. But people are friendly, not crowded and atmosphere is nice.

I ABSOLUTELY LOVE THIS PLACE! Great costumer service, FAMILY OWNED, and the BEST restaurant in San Francisco! 10/10 recommend this place for tourists and locals.

Worse food I have ever had. I wish that I could have put 0 stars. Also, they trick you to pay first which should have been a tell tale
Service, ok. Atmosphere, strange. And the food, oh the food. The food was very clearly warmed up in the microwave. The spaghetti tasted very slimy and the meatballs seemed to be flavored with dish soap (not kidding they tasted awful). Very overpriced. DO NOT MIX THIS PLACE UP WITH CIOPPINOS!!! (much better food)

Nice people, friendly staff. Was not happy with the food. Meatballs were dry, pasta was good but everything seemed to be warmed up. Good atmosphere for younger kids, not family priced.

The Sicilian restaurant Capurros in San Francisco is expensive and has bad service. You have to go to the bar yourself, order your food and drinks, and the prices are not very cheap. They also collect the tip without making any effort and before the service. However, the food and in particular the clam chowder (typically San Francisco) is delicious. Their Sicilian wine “El nero di Avola” is very good.

You order your food at the bar, and they bring it to you, and if you want a refill of your drink, you have to go back to the bar and get it.
