I always thought Causwells was just for burger fanatics, but I was wrong! Definitely recommend trying it out even if you don’t eat red meat, like me.

Their crispy chicken sandwich is excellent. The bun has the perfect texture, the aioli is light and garlicky, and if you’re into a little spice, I highly recommend adding pickled jalapeños to make this sandwich next-level.
I've also noticed they recently upgraded the side salad that comes with their sandos. The new dressing is much better imo—lighter and lemony compared to the previous sweet/Dijon-forward version.

If crispy chicken sandwiches aren't your thing, their seafood is also great. I've had two different fish dishes here, and both were delish. Highly recommended.

P.S. if you live in the marina, the burger/sandwiches travel really well for takeout or delivery!

We enjoy dining at Causwells but really miss the Causwell burger. That was a staple on the menu for us! The Americana is okay, it is a bit too messy and wet to leisurely enjoy, creating the need to devour or risk it falling apart.

Our party size changed at the last minute and they were able to accommodate us for the same time as our original reservation. The staff takes good care of the guests, are always helpful and ready without being intrusive. The food is delicious, too! We have eaten here many times and will return.

We visited Causwelks for Sunday Brunch on a beautiful day. We sat in their parklet and had a great time. Food was delicious and fresh, great service and look forward to going back soon!

The food and service was really good. I recommend the french toast bites if you're are going for brunch.

Overall my experience at Causwells was great! This now has been a few time chairing this establishment and the burger , drinks, and appetizers never seize to impress. I will continue coming back here as this one of the few spots in the city where you can justify the price of the burger. By far one of the best in the Bay Area. Thank you to this team for the amazing food and hospitality! Definitely the Pims Deconstruction if you go with friends.

Great menu. It was difficult to decide. My grandson had the Caesar Salad and sm. I had the smash burger. I had the Octopus. We were both pleased. Waitress said the menu changes somewhat by season. Go and enjoy yourself!

Their hamburger are over rated. I read the reviews of top burgers in SF and Causwells was on the list. Nothing special for a $20.00 burger.

It is rather cramped, but that is not unusual for this city. The food was good and our server was very nice, even though we’re obviously tourists.
