Not sure why the reviews aren't better. This place had good service, good food, and good drinks. Will be back soon!!

The margaritas look fabulous, my daughter and pal ordered strawberry. The guac and chips were yummy and plentiful. My enchiladas were great and the ambiance is festive. Good service too!!!

Have eaten here for more than 40 years. I was surprised and disappointed this last week. Maybe it is our current economy. The serving sizes have diminished greatly. My plate was small, rice, was still good. Beans were watery, my bean and cheese burrito did not have any cheese, was on a a small tortilla, was not filled with beans, was flat on my Plate. The prices are high for what I received.Things have changed. However the service and staff were excellent

Room temperature was cold. The food was terrible. The beans and rice were really bad. That's a staple in Mexican cuisine and they failed. The meat was a bit chewy. Take a pass if you want Mexican food.

Forgot how good the taco Tuesday deals are. I got the 2 crunchy tacos for $6. Also have 3 street tacos for $5 and they are pretty decent sized. On top of that you get free chips and salsa. Of course I had to get my spicy California burrito while I'm here. Huge burrito ! Be prepared to take home leftovers. LOVE THIS PLACE!

Get a pitcher of the house or perfecto margarita and a #1 and have a great night. Nuff said. Get the perfecto special for extra points. Friendly staff, good food, authentic Mexican vibes, clean establishment and amenities. This place is worth checking out. Tons of TVs too.

Make sure you specify how you'd like your hamburger cooked if you order pickup. If not it comes almost raw.

Celia's by the Beach in San Francisco is a solid choice for those craving good Mexican food without the fuss. The classic dishes are a reliable bet, and the hot plate adds a nice touch to the dining experience. The homemade salsas, particularly the green salsa and Habanero, are worth a try - they bring a flavorful kick to your meal. I'm a fan of the combo plates, and the special combo plate with carne asada and an enchilada is a tasty recommendation. The chicken soup and fajitas are equally satisfying options. No need for over-the-top praise; Celia's offers good, straightforward Mexican cuisine. If you're in the area and hankering for a reliable Mexican meal, give Celia's by the Beach a shot. Chances are, I'll be there.

Celia's is a super cute local favorite and has one of my favorite taco Tuesdays ever. The bar has cheap yummy crunchy tacos, super cheap beers and margaritas.. and I must mention they have THE BEST complimentary chips n salsa in town! The scene is super local, with neighbors of the area that have been around for decades. They have other specials during the week but taco Tuesday is a must!!! If you haven't been to it you are missing out on a San Francisco STAPLE

This is my favorite Mexican place in SF, but we haven't been able to order from them at all for the last several weeks (since about mid-November, and it's mid-December now). Every delivery service says they're closed until X random date, but then that date rolls around and they then say they're closed until another later random date. Calling them doesn't even ring, it just ends the call. Anybody know if they're closed forever or just on a break?

My family usually goes to the Celia's in San Bruno and daughter loves the burrito so we decided to try the one in SF. I usually do delivery but decided to drive out there (across town) to save THEM the fees. I ordered 1 crispy taco rice/beans, daughter ordered regular burrito with cheese. The phone person said, "with sour cream, guacamole, etc.?." I said, no just rice beans meat cheese. Went to pick up, drive home. Burrito was a super burrito with everything in it. After my daughter scooped everything out, what was left was a 1-1/4 inch roll of meat beans and cheese. I measured it. are You kidding? She was starving after the burrito. Mine was the usual taco beans rice. I actually like the rice here better than the other place. fluffy Rice. Then the kicker. I was charged to use a credit card to pay....and it was at the high end of the Range. My daughter picked food up so she didn't pay attention to the credit card fee. Listen dear Celia's, most restaurants I've been to will give you a discount using cash, not charge for using credit. It's a more positive approach . wasn't there so maybe it was offered and I did't know. But be aware people. Overall, food was good, I like that there is a sit down place in the sunset for the residents In that area. I think the issue might be the management and its practices.

An institution that has been here for decades. They must be doing something right! Go for the good margaritas not the entry level ones!
