Even though I made the reservation to celebrate my birthday, they didn't seem to be aware of it. My daughter had to remind our server when we ordered dessert.
Small Italian restaurant in Union Square district. Great service: polite, attentive, accommodating. Menu longer than usual, but selections (Caprese Salad, Veal Parmesan, Penne Arrabiata) were very good. I'd characterize it as a “neighborhood gem”. We ordinarily stay in the Union Square area and will likely return for dinner next time we're in town.
We loved Cesario's! The atmosphere is great. You feel like you discovered a family kitchen. The staff was great, food was excellent, classic Italian!
Staff were super friendly. We were stuck in traffic and called to inform them we would be 15 minutes late and they calmly told us they would adjust our reservation without delay. Food was delicious. Ambience and atmosphere was fun yet a bit Old world. Will absolutely return.
Love the old Italian ambiance. Food was delish. I had the carpaccio for appetizer- it was so tender and buttery. Yum. Also had the salmon picatta for my entree. Wonderful flavors and cooked just right! A bottle of Saldo with a price point that we were tempted to order another bottle! Service was friendly and accommodating. Can't wait to return!
Great menu very hard to decide which of the wonderful dishes!!!Reasonable prices!!! Nice wine list. Gracious service!! We loved it !
The food and service were great! I felt very comfortable. People are seated close together, but I thought that made it feel cozy. The bill was less than I expected for a dinner in San Francisco. I plan to make a reservation there the next time I go over to Union Square for theatre.
small neighborhood Italian restaurant with very good prices, excellent service and great quality food. Fully enjoyed the special Fettuccine with NY Strip steak and asiago sauce. Excellent pasta and wonderful flavor with perfect portions. Many items on the menu look enticing. Can't wait to go back to try more things.
What a lovely restaurant. Old world Italian charm in San Francisco. Chicken parm had that home cooked “nonna” taste = yummy. The linguine carbonara made me think of Rome. Plentiful serving size.
The food was amazing and the service was also great. I highly recommend the lobster ravioli.

My friend and I both ordered the seafood salad which had an abundance of grilled baby scallops and delicious shrimp. For dessert, we had the house made tiramisu and the limoncello marscapone cake—both delicious and would order again. The service was very attentive and look forward to returning.
Amazing. 10/10, I would suggest to everyone. Smaller restaurant with an authentic feel. Food was AMAZING.
Very romantic cozy atmosphere and friendly service—food was delicious— will be going back ASAP👍🏼
The four of us all ordered dishes we hadn't tried before and, as usual, we were all delighted with outstanding meals. Cesarios will remain our go-to restaurant for the theater district!
Excellent service and tasty food. I had the polenta lasagna-it was delicious. A little tight-my husband was sat pretty close to a stranger who kept annoyingly clearing his throat!!!
My husband , being a vegetarian had an angel -haired pasta tomato dish which he enjoyed.
Really traditional place-we recommend!
