We are in San Francisco for the weekend and The Parthenon is steps from our hotel. We did make reservations (advised) as they were very busy on a Friday night. It is noisy but in a high energy way -lots of happy diners chatting away. The service was excellent and the food was delicious authentic Greek/Mediterranean. Great appetizers, love the lamb skewers and sides, everything tastes healthy. Great Mediterranean regional wines by glass, carafe, or bottle. Julia rocks as a server. Always go back when in SF. 🤙

The food is good, with highlights like hummus, pita, Greek pasta, chicken and steak skewers, as well as exceptional dishes such as octopus, calamari, lamb chops, and seafood pasta. Recent reviews praise the restaurant for its honest approach to serving delicious food and its friendly, attentive service. Guests have enjoyed the appetizer platter, Solomos dish, zucchini cakes, cheese dip, and pomegranate beef, along with a selection of wines and unique music. Although service can be a little slow during busy times, the hospitality remains perfect. The baklava and chocolate truffle have also received high praise.
