Good ropa vieja and service. Would prefer to be served 1 entree instead of an entree with rice and beans in a set.

We were greeted by the lovely hostess when we arrived 30 minutes early for our reservation (inexplicably there was no traffic). She was able to seat us right away. The decor was lively and colorful, each section of wall was a different vibrant hue with a unique theme (musical instruments, telephones, ceiling domes). Our server was friendly and professional and helped us navigate the menu. She suggested several of her favorites and all were outstanding. Highlights were the qunoia salad, empenadas and the crispy (but still juicy) tajin fried chicken, yum! We will definitely be back.
My first glass of red wine tasted off and I asked if the bottle had been open for a while and they acknowledged that and were nice enough to replace it. The service was pretty good. The food was OK. We had a couple of the wraps and the meat was overcooked, but wasn't bad. All in all, a decent place.
A great spot to have dinner before catching a showing of &Juliet at the Orpheum! My friend and I enjoyed small shareable plates: the Yuca Frita, Empanadas de Cerdo, Empanadas de Vegetal, and Maduros, with our cocktails, Mono & Amaro and Copa, Copa Havana. All delicious! I want to go back to try the plates and mains! Carolina, who took care of us, was terrific!
They have a great selection of Latin American dishes, expertly prepared with very fresh ingredients. The restaurant is cleverly and whimsically decorated, and the servers know the menu and flavors. The noise level is quite high which can be irritating for me - but it seems most places thrive at high volume. I'll surely be back to sample more items.
Our fifth time meeting there it's a fabulous spot. Lot of locals we started out with the empanadas and the plantains in a purée black bean compost. And then we moved onto the fried chicken, black beans and rice. Fantastic. I had the. Oaxaca cocktail and then onto a glass of red wine and coffee for dessert
If you’re thinking about coming to this place, it’s fine. The staff is friendly, the atmosphere is pleasant, and the place looks nice—not luxurious or anything extraordinary, but decent. I came here looking for Latin food because I was honestly tired of eating so much Asian food and wanted something closer to my roots.
The food is okay, not bad, but the dish felt very basic. What really shocked me was the price—this place is extremely expensive for what you get. Expensive, very expensive, extremely expensive. I’ll say it again: the service was good, the place is nice, but honestly, it’s just way too overpriced for what it offers.

Refreshing non-alcoholic cocktails - mojito & rosemary/grapefruit drinks. Started with cup-filled guacamole with whole shrimps. Cubano sandwich and pork/rice/beans plate were delicious entrees. Service was friendly and attentive. Good pre-theatre restaurant.

Fantastic place for a pre-theater dinner. Yuca fries were great, love the sauce and the flavored oil that comes with it. The portions are good sized. The Lechon Cubano was flavorful, meat was tender. The Arepa de Cemita was also wonderful. The Dos Mariposas cocktail was tasty, with edible butterfly-shaped decorations. The Arroz con Dulce de Leche was fantastic, cinnamon forward. Charming atmosphere.

BETTER THAN SOL FOOD! Amazing! I can't believe I am just discovering this place. Hands down, some of the best Cuban-fusion food I have ever eaten. Cheese bread could be sold in bulk --so good. I had the Vegana Ropa Vieja (amazing)! my daughter had the Arepa Rellena de Bistec, and my husband had the Cemita Polana. We all shared each other's meals--and each one was better than the next. To top it off, the Alfajores for dessert. OMG! I thought I was too full -but I eat 2 of the 4 cookies!!! This place is a must dine!
We had a dinner here before our 7:30 pm Opera tickets. It was an easy walk from the Civic Center Parking Garage, as well as the War Memorial Auditorium. The food was delicious! The menu offered a variety of dishes, and a good drink menu as well. We started off by sharing a big bowl of Brussel sprouts with honey-lime vinaigrette - Delicious! My husband had Ropa Viejo with shredded angus beef, green olive, red bell pepper, tomato, and bacon. It was magnificent and filling! I had three chicken empanadas that were perfect. This delicious dinner was so filling, we were set for the rest of the evening. I would absolutely recommend this restaurant for a pre-theater meal any day of the week.
