Outstanding service and tasty food. Very much the lounge atmosphere with comfy seating. We sat in a bistro table that facilitated eating better for us. Cool hotel even if in sketchy area of SF. Felt very secure.
I love rooftops, and Charmaine’s definitely has a few things going for it — great views of the San Francisco skyline, good music, and trendy décor. It’s got the vibe, but overall, I found it pretty overrated and leaning toward tourist trap territory.

Loved the rooftop ambiance, a bit breezy but gas firepits kept us warm. Enjoyed the cocktails (french martini) and lite bites (crunchy fish tacos). Just enough before heading to play, Neil Diamond Story. Jose our server was super friendly, helpful and attentive. Also, hubby and I were running late because of traffic; I was texting with restaurant giving them updates, and they kept our reservation open - we were 25 minutes late from original time.
