Good & tasty French cuisine with all the trimming, prepared with flair and (je ne sais quoi?) Give it a try, I know you will like it ! (By the way I am French!)

This place was good, but not spectacular!

I really enjoyed the escargot. It's such a rare treat that I almost never indulge in.

I also had the pan seared sole fish, wish was super mild in flavor. It was average and probably wouldn't recommend it.

We also had the duck! That was very very delicious, but it's also a little rich. Great dish for sharing!

I had the french onion soup and the porkchop. The french onion soup was a little too salty and had too much Gruyère, it felt a bit like i was just eating cheese at one point, I've definitely had much better for the price. This place is very pricey overall but not out of the ordinary for SF. The porkchop was somewhat dry, flavor is good, but overall decent considering it's a porkchop.

Something i really didn't like is the misleading menu, because if you order the assiette de fromage for example, which has a $13 next to it, it actually comes with two $13 charges ($26 dollar) because according to them, the $13 is per item and assiette de fromage comes with two items (even though they're on the same plate)

Service was good, we sat outside in the patio which was nice, lovely location and atmosphere, but food was only okay and the weird menu thing is offputting, I'd probably not go again.

Decent spot in Potrero but I was disappointed because I heard a lot about this place and it’s actually pretty average: plates were small, the crepe was underwhelming, service was OK.
Also very little vegetarian options, despite the impossible burger.

It takes place inside and outside with heaters. I recommend the soups. Well made, with good flavor. The main ones don't work as well. The pasta seemed strange to me, the fish was just plain, and the sauce for the moules had excessive seasoning. Le creme brulee is exquisite. High prices. Friendly and attentive service.

I love Chez Maman. The vibe, the friendliness of the staff, the food, the atmosphere, everything is just so perfect. At this point I tried the entire menu, be it by dine in or ordering, and it never disappointed. I recommend this place from my whole heart.
