If you're looking for some of the best duck in city or the Bay, come here. Everything else on the menu is also amazing. Can't wait until they reopen.

The Peking duck is the star of this restaurant! When I went my friends and I decided to get the Peking duck to share and we preordered ahead of time for it. The duck was incredibly tender and juicy and is served with rice paper wraps as well as plum sauce and thinly sliced cucumber allowing you to create the perfect duck wrapped rice burrito! Each bite was delicious and then you have the option to use the leftover duck bones and skin as a crispy fried chip option or a duck bone broth option. We opted for the duck bone broth and it was tasty and hearty. I definitely recommend chili house for the duck!

Make sure to be on time or you will lose your reservation. Food overall was very good. Came out fast. Peking duck had great skin and had the option of getting the bones fried or put into a soup. Most the food option have some heat (hence the name of the restaurant). Parking was a bit annoying but you can usually find street parking. Crab and duck were my favorites. Crab is a bit messy to eat.

My favorite Chinese place not just in the Bay Area, but of any I've had across the country! I'll be sure to return as soon as it reopens!

My perfect weekday night would have to be eating delicious Sichuan food at Chili House while listening to pitchy covers of the latest pop hits playing over the speakers. Even though there's a plethora of good Chinese restaurants in the Richmond, Chili House stands out because of its amazing food, quick service, and being very accommodating for both Chinese and non-Chinese diners. I almost always order dry braised string beans when I eat at Chinese restaurants, and they make them really well here. They are fresh, crunchy, and flavorful. Szechuan spicy chicken is my favorite dish and tastes very authentic, however one time the chicken was mostly bones. Cumin lamb packs a punch and will make you want a glass of milk to escape the spiciness, but the moments when you can't handle the heat are all part of the fun. Have yet to try the famous Peking duck (need to order ahead one day in advance.)

Chili House is tucked away in Outer Richmond but the trek is worth it because they serve the best Peking duck in the city. The Peking duck has perfectly crispy skin with tender and juicy meat that pairs well with the pancakes and accoutrements. I could eat a whole duck on my own! The duck bones can be made either in a soup or fried and the fried bones are even more flavorful than the Peking duck (my preferred way is fried) and the soup is a great way to wash down all the oil (although it could use a tad more salt). Their other dishes are classic Chinese dishes that are seasoned well but don't miss the chicken with exploding chili pepper, which is super flavorful and crispy, and one of my favorite dishes, the "chow neen go" (Shanghai rice cakes), which is perfectly chewy with delicious wok flavor!! The cold noodles were decent and had a little heat of spice to them but could use an extra layer of saltiness.I like that the place has a mom and pop feel for a Chinese restaurant and although they don't carve the duck at the table, you can watch the chef carve the duck! And somehow manage to have a whole Peking duck for $60.

It's really sad to hear that Chili House was temporary closed due a to a fire accident. Hope no one get injured during the accident. I went with a friend who was visiting SF and some of my local besties to Chili House two weeks ago. Of course , we were going for the Peking duck ! One of friends grew up in Beijing said the perking duck taste really closed to what she had back home. The Peking duck has everything you want for a Peking duck: crispy skin, juicy and flavorful meat, Chinese black bean sauce and the right thickness of wrap ! We also ordered crab, mapo tofu , sweet and sour beef noodles, pickle fish stew, house fried rice, Peking meat pancake . Everything taste yummy. We were really surprised by the house fried rice

Made a stop here since we were in the city and got to try their famous peking duck! The duck was amazing and juicy with a huge portion. The skin was crispy, just how I like We got a reservation but was unsure if we would be able to try the duck due to their limited batch. Lo and behold, we got lucky on a saturday evening! I recommend their garlic pea shoots! A lot of flavor there. We got to try the Beijing style of jajangmyeon but not sure if I like the fermented taste of it.

their famous peking duck is dry and bland, they didnt even give enough cucumber and wrap, say l need to pay extra five dollar for extra hoisin sauce and wrap and other ingredients thats totally rip off. the most screwup is that my friend got choke by a plastic clip but we choose to not make a scene out of it, because there are seniors on the table. Never come back, 70$ peking duck + five bucks for extra ingredients. never had such pricing at any other restaurant. Hope the food quality department can see this post, still owe us an apology!!

Chili House I came here on a weekday dinner with friends. We also called ahead to reserve a Peking Duck for our table. I loved the selection of Sichuan dishes, and our table ordered a variety of dishes from veggies, meat.. The Peking Duck was juicy and delicious, especially with the dipping sauces and sugar. Each dish was delicious and flavorful, from the Mapu Tofu to the fried rice. Honestly you probably can't go wrong with most dishes Will definitely come back again!

be aware that the chicken clay pot that is 24.95 is nothing more than a thin chicken soup. The vessel it comes in doesn't make the 2.00 worth of ingredients a clay pot entree. The Beijing pancakes were good but not the one of the two varieties they offer that we ordered. The other appetizers we had were good. never got one of things we ordered but it showed up on our bill and we had to get it taken off. BE AWARE the put a 16 percent add on for groups four and smaller and 18 percent on for groups larger than that but still have a tip line. You don't know about this when they bring the bill and it shows up when you card has already been run. The bill presented before the card is run doesn't show it and it is not denoted anywhere else. 3 people for lunch 98 dollars.

Chili House SF is a true gem in San Francisco! From the moment I stepped in, I was greeted with warm hospitality and a cozy atmosphere. I couldn't get enough of their signature sautéed string beans - it was a spicy symphony of flavors that left me craving more. The tan tan noodle was also a standout, with delicious noodles in a lip-smacking sauce. And don't even get me started on the Peking Duck - it was a succulent masterpiece! The service was impeccable, with attentive staff who were happy to offer recommendations and accommodate dietary preferences. The attention to detail in presentation and preparation truly sets Chili House SF apart. Chili House SF is an absolute must-visit. I can't wait to return and explore even more of their delectable offerings.

Today my daughter took us to the Golden Gate Bridge and to the Fishman Horse Head. Thank you so much to her.

The duck is really good, but It's pretty frustrating that not only are the cucumber and green onions not included with the duck dish (separate 6$ charge), but they give so little that it doesn't justify even the initial charge and you're forced to buy more.I get that you can't just give things away for free in a business (although panchan is free at Korean restaurants...) but if we're paying 6$ for green onions, I expect more than 1 stalks worth...
