Chotto Matte San Francisco

I was disappointed that nothing was done to celebrate my friends birthday even though I specified on my reservation that I was there to celebrate her.

This is a great restaurant with excellent food and an outdoor/indoor rooftop in SF. Highly recommend!

There were several hiccups tied t finding the right location during happy hour which were not explained to me beforehand we had to move from an outdoor table to the Happy hour section,The staff overall was gracious and attentive. Would not be my first choice to bring friend. Music was very loud as if I were at a rave. Not my scene. Had been before and the music was more subdued and low key, spa like which worked for me.

Best Pisco Sour in San Francisco, much better than La Mar. They also know how to cook sushi rice properly. I don't like their unisex's bathrooms, everything is in dark color so I could not see whether it's clean or not. The restaurant is huge and beautiful. There's a lot of people working. Their payroll must be very high. I think it's nice to go there in groups.

I took my team here for a celebratory dinner and it was an amazing experience. The menu is unique but has something for everyone, the service was polite and responsive, and the ambience was trendy but comfy at the same time.

We are regulars when we are in the SF area. Love the atmosphere and service is always great!

Second time trying this place and both times the food was just ok. Perhaps Peruvian Japanese fusion is not my thing. Ambience was great. Made reservations that morning for lunch. They did not have our reservations when we arrived, but was able to seat us right away.

This place was an experience! It was a beautiful rooftop restaurant and food was yummy, but it was def lacking in portion size. Frederico was an amazing server. I would def check this place out especially with a big group!

I've been to the Miami location and I had a great experience so that is why i recommended this place to go for dinner. Food was good but it took a while for us to get served. First waitress came and disappeared, we had to ask the busser to call a server because nobody was coming after 10 min of waiting. Finally a waiter came, I don't remember his name but he was great! Food was good, specially the Amazonian salmon, delish!! but, as waiter explained, there are 5 kitchens so food is served in different times, we were ok about that but we didn't expect that drinks arrived after the food which was a big no no for us!!

Amazing place in SF to feel like you are in another city.

I used to love this place for the atmosphere and the food was always good, but they recently added a 7% “health” fee that they include at the end so I got a very surprising bill in the end + their minimal tip option starts at 22%. That didn’t seem very honest.

Our cocktails were very well balanced and delicious! Most of the food was well presented and tasty. The only reason I knocked off a star was for the BBQ Huacatay Broccolini that we ordered. Instead of the bbq broccolini, we received (what seemed to be steamed) broccoli with the mint sauce on it. I would just like to be informed if the kitchen is out of something when we order it—as that dish was a disappointment.

Lovely! The Australian wagyu steak and the lobster truffle was divine! Generally a very nice, trendy space. People were dressed up but also very trendy. The rooftop was too cold this time of year and there’s more of an upbeat energy inside. Great service. Some of the food was mediocre like the dragon roll, but a lot of it was great. We parked a street over, which was free parking on the weekends.

Great open space with lots of smaller zones and different seating arrangements for groups or more intimate gatherings. Great playlist, calming ambiance and energy. Great fusion food and sake menu. And of course a heated outdoor terrace 🤩
